Might be able to get your feet wet in some gold runs but yes there is a certain level a player skill that is needed. Many times you are on your own and must be able to adapt quickly and kill enemies fast. I will be willing to try with you. If we have a solid group around you should be able to learn. I have brought several people who were silver players mainly and showed them the ropes. Some have even went on to solo platinum. :happy:

Thanks  I should probably get my weapons leveled up a bit more before we try though, is there a particular level you'd recommend I have my weapons to before we do? Sorry for the stupid question. Like I said I haven't played for that long. Like only a couple weeks hahahaha.

About the mods i would go unscoped and use a ext magazine mod. For the hurricane i would use heat sink and damage barrel with using AP ammo. If using warp or incidinary ammo use the high velocity barrel. With the drell and tac cloak weapong weight isn't as much of a issue. You can loose the ultralight materials.

The magazine is for the speed run, right? Because of the slow reload - that makes sense, it keeps your DPS higher over time (I'm not really used to thinking this way when I play.)

The scope helps me with the headshots, which I go for at distance. I imagine in a speed run, "sniping" heads from across the map is less useful than running up and blasting them with an explosive. So dropping the scope, ignoring headshots (hard for me to break that instinct), and pounding away would be the way to go.

I'll play around with the build on Gold for a bit and see what happens to me without TC duration.

I expect there will be a lot of dying.

You can still go for headshots but not all of us are Jay . In a speed run your engagements can range from up close and personal to across the map. You want a weapon that can perform in both situations. Its also at a very quick pace so aiming for a headshot is sometimes hard to do. If you got the skills more power to you. The scope I don't find much use for it in what we do.

You have the required gear, these runs are all about following instructions, it works really well....I have played reg and speed runs with a few of these guys, I would really encourge you to give it a go. I know from playing with you that you will be fine and you are in very good hands.

IMHO it's possible to do this without a mic but man it's going to be really tough.
