I am very interested in learning to speed run, at least on Glacier.  For those days where you just don't feel like spending a lot of time getting credits.

Hey, never done a speedrun before, but I'm willing to learn. I've got everything unlocked except the UR's. I have 246 rockets and are willing to use them ALL! Hoping to do collectors to finish the weekend challenge though...

Ill show hydra and we can do a collector run, or just do a regular collector plat, then ill show you glacier and get some REAL farming done.

Easy. Reapers are a cakewalk on platinum. Speedruns, regular plat, it doesn't matter.

On platinum, only the Geth and collectors are a pain. Geth probably more so...

In saying that me, saberwulf, a friend of mine and sketfish had a 13min run our first try with Geth on Hydra.
My friend also forgot to equip armoured compartments that game so we never bothered with cleanup missiles.

Going to update my first post in this thread with these, hope they are helpful.

Speedrun tips:

Ideal rocket usage
Waves 1 & 2 2 rockets
Waves 4 & 5 3 rockets
Wave 7, 8 & 9 4 rockets

If you watch how the rocket waves are going you can break before the final rocket is shot knowing that there isn't going to be another spawn. I tend to call break before shooting what I know will be the last rocket to give everyone a head start.

Escorts
If you cloak in the escort it doesn't count you in there. Use packs when necessary to stay alive. A well placed rocket can save the escort, cleanup is usually good because the enemies flock to you.

Hacks
Unlike escorts you can cloak in the hacks. When the hack is almost done try not to kill enemies as it will make cleanup easier. Better to weaken them if possible.

Pizza
Alway nice to have a drell adrenaline mod to bring these back. If the first is on its way safely to the lz spread out to be ready for the next one. It can help sometimes to detonate recon mines to keep the spawn from spreading out too much.

Targets
Never rocket the first target. It's best to focus fire it and make the next target spawn away from the group. If you have spare rockets go ahead and use them on later targets if you aren't able to get focus fire on them. Ideally after the 4th target the rest of the enemies will still be relatively close for clean up.

Devices
Be sure to curse at the rng for trolling the run with this objective. First priority is to make sure the person doing the device is safe. Then make sure to spread out to get a jump on the next device.


When it comes to loadout, worry less about survivability and focus and maxing all damage. Whatever is going to kill enemies the quickest.

Be sure to communicate where enemies are when they leak out of spawns. Let others know your rocket count in case they need to help on a wave. Be mindful of where you need to be on each wave. And most importantly it's a game, have fun.

One thing I notice from our goddess run last night is how Xbox couldn't even get 5 headshot. Even a newb like me get at least 10 headshots in majority of the match and may get 20 if dnought or feneckus don't steal my heads also even feneckus with lag can still get 10 headshots at least on most match and also 20 if I or dnought don't steal his headshots . Dnought wasn't kidding on his end.

edited we will put a video up when we smash xbawks time and there are decent amount of trash talk throughout match

d_nought should know from experience about getting headshots on eggsbawks. For me though, it's prolly because I aimlessly spray bullets in the enemies general direction with one eye open while screaming "neeeeeeooooooowwwwwwaaaaggghhhh!!!" nervously. Headshots are pure luck in that case
