Just goes to show sub 8 should be doable if given the right objectives.

Its good to know that people are still doing amazing things a year after launch 

Take myself, Slim and Goosh for example.  Last night we DOMINATED some casual Platinum games, the Goosh got stuck on the loading screen in one game and myself and Slimster got gooshed straight away.  We had to rely on a super random joining the game on wave 1 and rocketing the whole round, thats how us top players roll nowadays.

What was really weird was that after joining a game in progress and being happy to blow his rockets on a wave 1 clutch the super random pretty much scored no further points the entire game.  I figured he was probably a pro with plenty of ability and confidence, I was wrong.

I am also pleased to announce that coming soon will be a musical compilation speed running video, that most people probably won't find entertaining.

That sounds pretty cool actually.

What we really need is an outtakes or bloopers video for the occasional f*** ups and times when "speedrun" becomes "damage limitation".

I used to have a ton of speedrun footage which would have been handy for a bloopers video, unfortunately I deleted it all when I upgraded my rig as I needed the hard drive space. What you're saying is that I need to do more speedruns to replace that footage? Challenge accepted.

I've been studying the runs that the PC crew have been doing to see if I can pick up any tips and I've a suggestion based on what I've observed.

Wear your pants on your head. I'm sure you'll be surprised by the difference this makes to your times.

No. But we had a run where we thought we finally had it. If not for a banshee and a couple phantoms spawning away for a sneak gooshing we would have been sub 8. Funny that our best time yet involves a 4 device objective.

Many of our greatest runs have followed hot on the heels of an awesome time with 4 devices, its an omen.  I'm anticipating the best in the near future.

Damn, that sucks. But at least we know that sub 8 is definitely achievable using this strategy after we got close even with the 4 devices.
