So, I've been trying to romance Merill and always supported her and chose any flirt option available. Currently halfway in Act 2 wondering when I'd finally get to conform the romance, I looked up the required quest. Apparently Merill visits me right after the quest ''Questioning Beliefs". I can't remember that quest, and Merill certainly didn't visit Hawke's estate. But the quest shows as 'completed' in my journal. I did some quick searching and it's mentioned there are bugs with this, so I just want to check if I can still romance Merill in my current playthrough. I helped her during the quest ''Mirror Image'' and also did ''Back from Sundermount''.
Can I still romance Merill or did I bug something here?

Never had problems with the Merrill romance, so from what i read you maybe past the point of no return on this one. Did you buy the carved Halla from Ilens crafts at Sundermount?, that certainly bumps up Merrills approval rating. Did you visit Hawke's house on a night, which is when Merrill is supposed to visit?.

I got the Halla for her. My approval with Merrill had always been high, any quest from her I picked up as soon as possible, including her 'recruitment' quest. I brought her with me on any quest and completed every quest from Act I. The approval rating with Merrill has been at max for a while. Not sure I visited Hawke's house on a night, I guess I could try that. Thanks.
EDIT: Ok, thanks. You're awesome. I would never have guessed that all I had to do is visit my own estate at night. I was waiting for some quest marker. It worked. Thanks!
