Jack's (romance) sex scene makes me really uncomfortable. I can't shake the feeling that Shepard is taking advantage of her, given what such a relationship means to her.

I think that all depends on whether you think they actually had sex or not. Which I personally don't think they did, but that's just me.

I think the Suicide Mission is overrated, and the battle against Sovereign is the best mission of the entire trilogy.
I think Mass Effect 3 is overall the best game in the franchise (even if it does not have the best story) because it strikes the perfect middle ground between ME1's stat, armor, and weapon customization and ME2's streamlined, action oriented approach.
Although I was initially very worried, I am glad ME3 has multiplayer, it's probably the only online multiplayer game that I play.
I like ME3's default femshep, but I can never bring myself to use the default male Shepard.
I don't think the original endings are good, but they did not really bother me, and I immediately started another playthrough after finishing ME3 for the first time.
I think Kaidan is one of the best ME1 squadmates (besides Wrex).

This is why I can't see it happening that way.  You would be right if Shepard was doing that, but I view that scene as nothing more than Jack embracing Shepard's warmth in a form of cuddling, with a sense of passion in the beginning because really, it's all Jack was practically brought up with, that fire - the drive - passion, but then she falls into that embrace and it leads to nothing more than happiness for the two and more importantly, that sense of being comfortable.

I believe in Cerberus' ideals and goals, and I have a fair respect and admiration for the Illusive Man.

I don't much care for Anderson or Hackett.

I think the best squadmate and character in the series is Miranda.

I can't envision any Shepard that isn't the default Sheploo (including name, background, record, and class).

- I really don't get the fascination with romances. Characters, yes; romances, no.
- I think the "info dump" with Vigil is the most emotionally powerful moment in the trilogy.
- I like the hokey faux-science involved with Project Lazarus, and its implications. I don't, however, think it was necessary.
- I adore the elevator rides in ME1.
- I dug the planet scanning in ME2.
- I like the ideas behind ME3's ending, and how it screws with the audience. Just not the execution.
- ME1's writing is flawed, despite being the best of the three. Especially the convenient ending.
- Ambiguous, melancholy endings can be profound.
- Shepard was living on borrowed time. I anticipated death.

"The only romance better than Jacob was James."

Am I doing it right?

Default FemShep looks like an abomination of Ronald Mc'Donald...WITH BEWBS.
Tali sucks.
Garrus is overrated.
Thane sucks.
Jacob sucks for cheating, but he isn't bad.
Shepard didn't need to die at the start of ME2.
Miranda sucks. But her buttocks are brilliant in every way possible.
Wrex is overrated. Grunt is better.
Suicide mission wasn't that great.
The planet scanning wasn't that bad.

Bioware games would be better without awkwardly written romance 'arcs' and laughable sex scenes.

This should not be an unsung or unpopular opinion.

Everything in the game makes perfect sense if you actually pay attention to the game. Probably more of a fact though, rather than an opinion.

If it's so clear, I'm sure you can explain the niggling little plotholes, because us uneducated masses can't see the clarity.

Wrong thread. This is unpopular opinions, not bizarro world opinions.

For mine, I don't know. I hate Samara's character design but I don't know how unpopular that is. I don't like Miranda. I don't really care for Wrex as a squadmate but like him as a character. I don't think Saren or Sovereign are all that (but are still good villains). I like Harbinger's constant taunts. I don't think Lair of the Shadow Broker is really all that good. I don't hate the Catalyst.

Hmm....

Mako Exploration is the best (and imo the only) type of exploration in the series
Garrus is a p*ssy on the ME1 battlefield
Liara is one of the best combatants on the battlefield
ME2 is overrated (along with its ending)
Thane is boring
Miranda isn't that hot
ME3 was one of the best games of 2012
Vega is actually a good character and squadmate
The Extended Cut makes sense

The way ME3 is nitpicked apart, well, that can be done to any videogame there is....making it possible for any game to look like utter sh*t. I could do it to every game I own. Ofcourse, that's why its called "nitpicking"

(I'm sure there's more, but its early)

- I'm fine with Shepard dying. That did not affect my choice of Destroy in the slightest.
- I think the Reapers are one of the least interesting things in the ME universe.
- I think the focus on Earth in ME3, as well as humanity, was very contrived and made little sense from an objective perspective. Before Chronos, I mean.
- I dislike the progress Humanity has made. Would have been much cooler if things went at a realistic pace, not from being newcomers to owning 1/6 of the galaxy in 3 ****ing years.
- I don't blame the asari as a species for the beacon. I blame Cerberus mostly, since their effor twas a deliberate action against the others in the war. Neither does the game say that the info about the catalyst was contained in it for non-Cipher users. Doesn't include politicians who kept it secret, however.
- I look forward seeing the universe from a new angle in the next ME game.
- I want the next ME game to be set before the triology, or inbetween ME1/2, and concerning a story which is insignificant enough to not leave any visible (for Shepard) traces on the galaxy as a whole.
- I enjoyed Omega, for it had a story concerning human and alien alike.
- Samara and Mordin were my favorite ME2 squadmates, even if I dislike the former's graphic design, since it seems like a miscommunication between the writers and the art team.
- I don't see off-screen action as plot-holes and try to read between the lines.
- I think ME2 made all the sense in-character.

You asked for it.

- I'm honestly not that into the romances. I only ever did them to see what, if anything, would differ with imports (expecting some real trouble from two-timing Ashley, for example). Every one of them feels either unprofessional, unrealistic or just weird to me.
- On that note, romancing Garrus, Thane, or Tali is kind of weird.
- And on the same note, romancing Jack feels wrong in so many ways. I honestly can't buy Shepard having real feelings for her (or vice versa actually), and it just feels like he's taking advantage.
- Not that I've played it, but having YouTubed it, Citadel is just silly and jarring with the tone of the main game, which I actually liked.
- I kind of like the fact that Shepard dies.
- Thane's kind of boring. ...Yet I actually like Jacob and Kaidan.
- Hackett isn't that cool.
- Shepard is overrated, both in-universe and out.
- Geth are interesting, but the best way to end their storyline is with them dead.
- Grumpy Wrex is better than funny Wrex.
- I liked planet scanning.
- I don't know that I actually like EDI in ME3.

Oh, forgot

-Harbinger is not a very good villain, save for a few cool lines, and I don't care that we never properly confronted it in ME3.

I liked the idea of a galactic dark age after high-EMS destroy.

Garrus is not my favorite character, I think he is cool, but I'm rather baffled at how he is so universally loved while every other character that is loved by some is despised by others (looking at you Tali, Miranda and Liara).

I think ME2 Cerberus was actually a pretty good ally, all things considered.

Elevators were awesome, I learned more cool things about the universe in those snails than anywhere else.

I think the Catalyst is fascinating, esp. with the lore of Leviathan

ME3 is my fave of the series

I think MEHEM is awful and makes less sense than all the VANILLA endings. Thus proving that the "outcry" was basically just about gamer pandering and waifu schmaltz.

The organics vs. synthetics conflict was foreshadowed both in ME1 & 2.

I was fine with Thane's death. All I would have liked would be a little more dialogue if I romanced him, thus reflecting the changes in his priorities.

I prefer the ME team to the DA team

I enjoy DAII more than DAO

I think Loghain is the greatest, most complex character in the DA universe

And now I better RUN!:wizard:

I 100% approve of auto dialogue. Could have had at least a few critical neutral chat options though.

ME1 ...

* Loved riding around in the Mako on the various planets and looking up into the sky ... also loved it when there were meteor showers.

* Agreed with the Council that Shepard, Anderson & Udina needed to bring proof and not just come at them like a bunch of Henny Pennys.

* Found Virmire to be a gut-wrenching moment because I liked both characters.

* Saving the rachni should have bit the player in the butt.

* Liked all the personnel on the Normandy.

ME2 ...

* Liked the Horizon scene with the VS for what it was ... a complete emotional train wreck moment. Just wished that there could have been followup and bridge mending like Liara in LotSB. Arrival would have been a perfect place if the VS had been sent by Hackett to assist you.

* Wished Legion and the whole armor thing was scrubbed ... the fan worship was odd and out of place.

* Thought the Samara turning Shepard away was priceless and was glad that it continued in ME3.

* Liked all the personnel on the Normandy.

ME3 ...

* Liked the Jacob twist. An actual character that did not wait? How dare he? Just wished that Jack had been the same. I would have created a Shepard just to romance her then.

* Don't think curing the genophage is wise, no matter how much I love Wrex and Eve.

* Hated that EDI was given a body and the Joker romance option. Just ew! Image IPB

* Wished that the reapers had not been explained in detail but left a mystery.

* Liked how the characters moved in and out of the story ... Just wished that Liara, Garrus and Tali also were off-ship and weaved in and out as well.

* Did not mind the photo of Tali ... just wished that all Shepards (romanced or not) had seen her face on Rannoch.

* Liked almost all of the personnel on the Normandy ... struggled with the change in both EDI and Joker.

* Don't think there is a best or canon ending or romance to ME3.

That's all I can think of, for now! Image IPB

Agree with a lot of the above though I despised the Mako, my only gripe with how they handled Jacob is that from what I understand if you don't have Kaiden a straight Jacobmancing femshep is pretty much screwed.

Leave my Mako alone! Image IPB

Well, that will teach those femSheps to kill off Kaidan! If I were to make a Shepard that is pissed at the end and chooses refuse I would have her romance Jacob ... her thumbing up her nose and letting this cycle burn would be her middle finger response to him. A woman scorned and all. Image IPB
