Does that mean I don't enjoy a narrative with a protagonist who's any (or all) of those things? Aww, hell, naw. And though random ship-pics usually aren't my thing, or men with men, that damn Tony and Bruce picture is super cute.
Back on topic: Every time I play any of the games, I promise myself this time I will skip the parts that feel like a chore. I'm looking at you, planet-scanning and chasing random minerals.
I never do.

Last time I played ME 1 I chased down all of the Matriarch's writings that I could just so I could get that extra little bit of dialog with Conrad in ME 3 (never bothered with them before). Same reason I do the geth outposts in ME 1 so I could give Tali the geth data so I get that extra line of dialog from her when I run into her at Freedom's Progress.

It's like a trap for people who want to make sure they MISS NOTHING. "Look, Hackett, I realize Saren's trying to find a way to kill us all and I just had to sacrifice a friend to slow him down.... But I ABSOLUTELY need to make sure I found all the helium in the galaxy!"

lol yeah, fortunately I am not so compulsive that I have to collect everything but anything that has any bearing on later in the series I will do even if it just something barely mentioned in passing. I even kept doing those arena matches in the citadel dlc just to obtain an armor I am not going to ever wear.

Hey. Hey. I'll have you know that armor is SWEET!
Yeah and I'd wear it if it had an alliance, spectre, or even N7 logo on it, or if I had it for ME 2. But I just don't like going into battle wearing enemy colors.

Which I suspect is the majority opinion, actually.
I kind of hated the ME1 Citadel. For all that space, not much was going on.

If that's all the further you went with the Arena matches, then you may have missed out on finishing the stream of awesomeness that is the Glitched Match.

That's a downside. I usually don't go berserk after every element. But if I know there's an actual quest out there I haven't seen yet, I will visit planets until I find it.

I didn't hate it but I agree with your sentiment, even without the DLC ME 3's citadel felt more alive than ME 1's ever did.

Will try that in my next playthrough, this was my first crack at this DLC (after not being able to play the ME games for a few months)

You're my hero. I agree with pretty much the lot. Even IT. I always thought it was interesting, but I never thought it was a thing. Your list is pretty right by my measure. Except the Kaidan thing. And I loved EDI and the geth because they were machines. Same with the Reapers. I do so hate it when people try to make them more human in motivations or logic. :innocent:

That's just ASKING for a spam of male Shepard and Kaidan art. I hope you realise what you've done, young man.
