Liara is uninteresting.
Me1 is the worst of the series.
I don't like Thane, even slightly, but I thought his death was well done.
Mass effect 4 isn't absolutely certainly 100% garunteed to be a linear CoD clone FPS.
I don't care how many RPG tropes mass effect adheres to; choice, characters and the universe define Mass Effect for me, not whether or not there is an inventory system. If I wanted a real RPG there are a myriad of other options available.

And it is all very entertaining and very well done.

* Apart from a few exceptions, the squad mates in ME2 weren't impressive whatsoever.
* The Suicide Mission is highly overrated.
* ME2 did far more damage to the series than ME3.
* Padok Wiks > ME3 Mordin.
* Wreav > ME3 Wrex.
* The geth-quarian stuff in ME3 was horrible.
* The combat in ME2&3 is overrated (that's not to say that the combat in ME1 wasn't horrible).
* All of the romances were horrible and the fans fixated on the romance content are just the worst.

Mass Effect 3 has an awful lot of content, only about half of which is available in any playthrough. In addition to the Paragon or Renegade options and responses, there are different and interesting characters that show up (Wreave, Paddock Wiks, Jason Prangley, etc..), and different scenes that can play out ("Jason Prangley will save your life again"; and "What the hell is this!!!" vs "I see you brought your Geth friend Commander") depending on the initial conditions of ME3 from and ME2 import.
And it is all very entertaining and very well done.
I agree entirely. Considering the sheer scale of permutations ME3 takes into account, I'm amazed that as many decisions are recognised as there were. A single playthrough with an imported character doesn't really reveal how much dialogue went into the game.
Of course there are certain characters/decisions that don't return or have restricted roles, but there's just so damn many. Including them all would turn it into another Illium-esque "Planet Cameo" like in ME2.

I like Vega.
I never saw what the fuss was about with Miranda.
The first game's controls and mechanics are awful, to the point where the game becomes a chore to play through in spite of me loving everything else.
I find Overlord a chore to play through.
I don't punch Khalisa Al-Jilani.

Kelly >>>>> Traynor
Tali and Javik don't exist in my ME3 experience
I don't like Garrus at all
I never punch Khalisah al-Jilani
I like having EDI and Vega as squadmates
I didn't mind Diana Allers and Jacob
I think the council's actions are understandable, and I like the three original councilors (especially Tevos)
I enjoyed Omega -> my second favorite DLC
I love doing the Normandy crash site DLC on every playthrough
I didn't like Overlord. I found it to be quite a chore
The auto-dialogue in ME3 didn't bother me much
I loved the Mako

Romance is not needed and is either overdeveloped or underdeveloped.

I really hate the idea of saving Thane. I hope Bioware doesnt retcon his death in the next DLC.
I love James Vega, I think he is a great character.
Liara annoys me to no end.
I like ME3 more than the other two.

I can sense the citadel dlc having the same affect, Whilst pimping out your apartment and romancing whoever you'd be thinking " why bother " at the back of your mind...it all gets blown up the mission after and your left lying on the floor imagining what happens next.
Highlight for me was ME1 as it made the series, Also how they wrapped the genophage story ark up, Really was impressed by that and if i ever replay the game again i'll not shoot mordin in the back..

ME3 poisoned nostalgia quite abit, Many people i know couldnt replay the game as they got to mars and thought " why bother " ...which also meant they couldnt replay the series of which i was hoping to do had it not been such a mediocre game.

I don't want to sound discouraging, but I think those are probably not unpopular or unsung opinions on the BSN

Oh oh, this but with Star Wars instead.chemiclord wrote...
Mass Effect, as an entire trilogy, was a good, but hardly great or defining, piece of science fiction. It really is overrated immensely by the majority of the fanbase.
Of the original Star Wars trilogy, only 2 is really a great movie. The other two are just pretty good 7/10 movies.

-I really like Jacob in ME2. Someone had to be the sane guy on the Normandy
-ME3's gameplay is by far the most enjoyable of the series.
-Liara's ME1 blandness puts me to sleep.
-I like having EDI as a squaddie.
-Saren has one hell of a sexy voice.
-ME3's MP is oodles of fun.

This is actually the primary reason I never made it more than 2 hours into KotOR.

Ashley is a better soldier then Garrus
the robot served no purpose in the game
I wanted to make peace with the robots and Quarians without having Tali or Legion present.
Hackett the Slackett is useless as a leader
Miranda should have HER office back
I want Zaeed on the Normandy

I never buy fish. I think they are horrible pets. I could get the same enjoyment from a digital picture frame.
I don't have a space hamster.
ME3 was my favorite game in the trilogy.
I don't think the alien characters are any more interesting than the humans.
I think the VS is justified for their behavior on Horizon and Mars.

You can - however in keeping with this thread, only if you can tell me why you like it! Otherwise you're just waaaaay too popular.
