My question is which program is (or should) be used to make custom models to add into DA. Currently I'm using Google SketchUp 7.1, primarily because it's easy to use and understand. Not actualy sure if I'd be able to use this program to make 3D Models for DA, so and tips?
Thanks

doesn't really matter. tazpn's cmd tool will convert a variety of common file types to DA format, like obj or fbx. chewygumball has written export scripts for max. and theres some psuedo export scripts for blender. but as long as you can export an obj you're good.

The Blender ones work quite well, and Blender is probably the most powerful tool that doesn't cost anything. There is a bit of a learning curve if you aren't familiar with the software. Had the 3DSMax tools been ready first, I'd probably be using them, but I've already invested too much time into Blender at this point.
