As long as Casey isn't involved... Even though Dragon Age 2 was lack luster, it has the excuse of obviously rushed, and even then it very enjoyable for a rushed mess.

Casey and Mac, though, showed they cant handle a setting. They need a A-B-C-D story(TUN's last video was a great explanation of the fundamental problems with ME3).

That all said, I dont pre-order any game, anymore.

I don't really trust Bioware anymore. Not since Dragon Age 2, Old Republic and Mass Effect 3 (not just the ending, but it's really what makes everything pointless in the previous games).

Bioware became a casual game creating studio, a pawn of EA who's main purpose now is to satisfy the CoD fanboys.

Dragon Age 2 was better than the most overrated Bioware game ever; Jade Empire.

Dragon Age 2, even in its bad shape was 10 times better than ME3...

JPR out!

Yes, I do.

Dragon Age 2, after another 2 runs last year, was alright, especially its DLC, which were more than worth it.

ME3 was awesome and arguably the best game I ever played since the HL series. Before ME3, only HL2 Episode 2 ever managed to make me tear up - I'd call that amazing writing, to make you care enough about virtual figures that you mourn their death. **** 10 minutes in over 500 hours of gameplay, seriously.

No, but my faith in Bioware has been on shaky ground since DA2, my god what a awful game, Bioware use to be able to say they where at the top of the game in crafting stories, they can't say that anymore.

Dragon Age 2 wasn't that bad. It certainly wasn't as good as Origins and there were many very glaring flaws, but I enjoyed it. There were some improvements from Origins. Some things Origins did a lot better. Overall I'd say it had a lot of unused potential for all the improvements it had.

No, not in the least. This was two in a row for them on their games recently.

Not right now, no. Things may change. They can probably go back to their standard formula with the right people, but only time will tell. But if I ever start to think about buying another Bioware product (which I find highly unlikely) I'll most likely get some delicious spoilers and proofread the story first.

I felt kind of betrayed by Bioware because of those endings (although, I get the feeling it's not all of their fault, but because of that one writer; you know the one).

At least the Extended Cut mended things somewhat, but not completely, given that I want to know what happens to my crew after the ending, with a proper epilogue (we'll see with the incoming Citadel DLC, IF it changes things).

Still, I'm not sure if I'll ever buy another of their products on release date, ever again (I'll wait for user reviews next time).

And unless the next "Mass Effect" game is either a reboot or a sequel (as in, a timeline sequel, not a sequel with Shepard), I'll definitely WON'T buy it (because if there's something I *hate* the most, are both, prequels and midquels).

If its a single game, yes. If it is multiple games with one story, no.

I never felt like ME was three parts of the same story. Felt way more like three separate stories with some common threads. That works for DA  because it was meant to be multiple games with multiple stories. ME was not.

ME3 and the following events that followed after ME3 changed my view on Bioware as my favourite developer and the how the whole gaming industry is slightly off-putting. I just hope whatever comes next doesn't turn out to be another ME3 event, meaning I hope the next game comes out, I can enjoy it and not feel alienated, because ME3 really did make me feel alienated. I still have faith in the DA team, I still like DA2, and I respect the fact that they acknowledged DA2 wasn't perfect.

Can BW be trusted with another £100 of your money and another 100+ hours of your time?

ME3 was £150 of my money and 20+ hours of my time for a complete playthrough, so no.

I paid a third of that for Skyrim and got over 4 times as many hours out of it. And that wasn't even a complete playthrough. And I paid 15 pounds for New Vegas + DLC on Steam and got 16 times as many hours out of it. And that wasn't a complete playthrough either, though it was close.

20 hours? What did you do? Sprinting throught the whole campaign? As for Skyrim, I got bored of it pretty quickly. I don't like generic stuff without a story and characters... it's a matter of taste, I know, but running around on a huge map and doing errands for npc-s whom I forget in 10 minutes and exploring the same boring dungens and keeps for a hundred times is not fun for me.

Personally? No. It's obvious the ending can only be liked by a fraction of its audience, and Bioware has in no way attempted to look into why they didn't like it nor have they indcated an expression of avoidng the level of dissatisfaction they believe doesn't exist.

So no, because of the blinders they have for the negativity for the ending with how embarassingly silly it was written 2 games in a row makes me believe they aren't capable of writing a satisfying ending for the majority of the audience. It might have something to do with replacing the writers with people who just aren't as good.

For DA3 I trust them.....while DA2 had issues, I thought the game was enjoyable, and like I have said elsewhere I understood that we 1) were playing a story that already had start/finish bookends, so the game was playing the details of getting there 2) that the DA series is about the Age and not our protagonist(s). I'm interested in seeing where they go with it.

For ME? I'll have to wait for reviews (from someplace like Forbes .... not the general gaming media) and fan reaction/spoilers. I have yet to purchase any DLC for ME3.....the ending, even with EC is so muddled, that the only hope left is that Citadel somehow redeems it. The ending really killed any joy in doing additional plot-driven play throughs.

As for ME4, a prequel will be an auto non-buy for me. A concurrent story being told to Sheps? Same thing......but a sequel set in a far off future, or a different galaxy/universe untouched by reapers? Then spoiler me before I buy.....

Yea trouble is those 10 minutes are the culmination of all that came before it...and they were atrocious.

I do. Despite the ending, they have almost always, and yes even in ME3, been really good at character interactions. It's lacked here and there of course. The ME2 squad mates only got minimal screen time in ME3, but the moments with Garrus in the Citadel, or Ashley and Kaidan and Liara in the Presidium were spot on. That's what I'm looking forward to most in the new DLC and that's what I'm buying it primarily for, even if they are just one conversation. That was one of my favorite things about the third game.

Either way, I trust them.  ME3 was such a powerhouse for them, and honestly who knows what happened behind the scenes with EA and everything.  I certainly don't.  It didn't end exactly how I wanted it to, but with the DLC I actually kind of like the endings to the game, so hopefully they will carry forward and not make the same decision to leave such an open ended ending to a game in the future.

But ME3 had less conversation than 1 and 2 due to the over use of auto-dialogue.

not really...I will go spoilertown on future games before finalizing purchase

Yeah this.  Problem is, if BW ever again does create a trilogy then that would mean waiting until all 3 games are released before being able to see how they end.  This is soooo not the way to play an RPG.  I trusted that BW could do this trilogy justice and end it well.  They've made me not trust any game company.  No pre-orders and no day one purchases for me ever again for any game.
