I made some different colored trees that I had been using in an exterior level up until yesterday. Yesterday I decided that I didn't like the color distribution, but I still liked the tree distribution. Instead of deleting all the tree controllers and starting over, I had the not-so-brilliant idea of just swapping out the models using the "ModelFile" option for each tree controller. It seemingly worked. It looked fine in the level, but when I viewed the area file, models had been switched. Trees had changed size, trees had changed color, and lily pads were swapped for trees. In effort to fix it, I deleted all of the tree controllers and replaced all the trees (which is probably what I should have done to begin with). Buuuut it still didn't work. Again it looked fine in the level file, but when viewed in the area file and in-game, models were switched or not appearing at all. Then I checked the speedtree files that were created during posting, and they looked fine. I really don't know how to proceed and am looking for things to try. Re-creating the level is not an option.

The problem persists with even new levels and tree/grass models that weren't even used in the other level. Could I have inadvertently messed up the database or the exporting process?

As usual I would say "back up and reinstall the Toolset."
