Well, the problem is curiousity, wanting to get info from him about who sent him etc.. and then once he starts talking it is so much harder to want to kill him - he's funny and thinks I'm a deadly sex goddess
So...you'd let an assassin follow you because he beguiled you? Jeez, I almost wish he'd follow through with the contract while anyone who recruited him slept -.-.

It really depends on how yoru roleplaying your character to tell you the truth. If your playing a good character with a straight forward moral compass then sure. However, if your playing a character who is coniving and who's compass is a bit less str8, then not always. Zevran is an easily controlled tool for killing, why wouldn't I want to use him to dispose of my enemies for me?
You don't know whether or not he's lying, or more than he lets on. Would you really risk the security of the only two grey wardens left in Ferelden like that? I swear, in real life not a single person would do that. Ever. Even if they let him live for questioning. They would kill him soon after.

Wow, snarky much? I guess you only wanted super serious answers and I deeply offended you with my winky-faced answer - my entire party does deserve death for that. =D
Thank you for understanding. For your conveniance I will send a guillotine to your camp. Please send pictures as proof. Love, Aany.

As such the decisions you make can be reversed with a simple click and load.
Now OT: I wanted to know more, and hey, I could use all the help I could get, why not bring him along, he wants to try and kill me I KNOW there's gonna be some complaints from the others.

Zev knows not to attack me directly, and if he poisoned me at camp or some place, someone would surely notice, and quite likely avenge my death.

I would. As a certain Sergeant in Denerim once said..."People actually voluntarily attack you? Are they just stupid?"

Don't care who you are, if you're sleeping and anyone who knows the handle from the blade of a knife wants you dead, it's a pretty garunteed thing...

That's not technically true - he only tries again if you treat him badly, if his approval meter is at all in the friendly zone he stays out of it completely and if he actually likes you he defends you against his former brethern.
Yup, I recruited him in one of my playthroughs. Fact of the matter is...he's an assassin hired to kill you. You nearly killed him. He's got money, and revenge for motivation...why would anyone ever let him into their camp? It's just a huge liability that I couldn't see anyone no matter how stupid they are taking.

You think the Crow's would really be as forgiving of him for failing the first time around? If you play his story all the way through, even if you don't romance him, you'll find out that his reasons for taking the bid are a bit different than what they appear.

Thank you, Now that is reasonable. Albeit very round about and still not worth it, imo...it at least makes some sense.

Well, SOME people like to role-play good characters who just don't kill people because they can, they believe in redemption and second chances and rainbows and true love and all sorts of stuff like that and so just killing a guy who claims they want to change is repugnant to them and so they give him a second chance.
I RPed one of those...I still couldn't do it. I didn't even let him wake up. I figured it would be merciful to kill him quickly while he was unconscious. Ultimately...after Ostagar, and all the violence, I just don't see how you could even let him live with how much is riding on your success.

And pirates. Good characters love pirates.
