(we had a sour faced "Grump" in the squadron, I always had a wicked smile, so I became Grinch, the other "evil" guy)

If you don't like your call sign, they can always slap you with one you like even less.

So I embraced it.

It stuck.

my favorite general of alexander the great. my GT for xbl is admiral ptolemy and the admiral was just because I led the coast guard division of my battlefield clan back in the day. my bsn tag is for king ptolemy IV of egypt who is known for using one of history's first recorded use of deception on a large scale to intimidate the seleucids and led to his great victory over them at raphia. this victory insured egypts ptolemaic dynasty survival for more than a century longrr until the romans took over.

The Assassin bit comes from Assassin's Creed, obviously. The 051 part is the numerical designation of the Spartan 051, from Halo, who happens to share the same RL name as me.

XBOX live random name assignment. It grew on me, and when My account got hacked and I created a new one (and went mainly to PC) I chose to honor all the good times I`d had with the old tag.

My GT for XBL is Disturbed Shawn. The band Disturbed + my first name. I made it back in 07, I thought about changing it but I'd rather just save those 800 microsoft points toward a dlc or something. One guy on my friend list actually changed his gamertag to "Disturbed (his name but spelled shorter)" then he immediately removed me from his friends list. At the Mass Effect 3 main menu I still see his recent accomplishments below the galaxy at war thing, which is odd since he removed me like over a month ago.
