Double update: I don't know my banners and we already have this one

 

Quick update guys, these banners actually exist on the bioware server. After taking a crack at the filenames I was able to download Punisher and Geth Prime. They might be addable, but it'd be a considerable amount of work. I don't think other players would be able to see them.

It'd be amazing if Bioware added them (and some other hidden content like the Chakram Launcher) on the next N7 day.

 

After all, unlike unfinished maps, I don't think that much manwork is needed for that...(could be wrong, but oh well...).

more Cerberus and Salarians would be nice. Maybe more Talon mercs and Collectors or maybe a New type of Geth Prime/Jugggers.

I'm not sure how challenges are done, and if 'you met them'. Perhaps it is some server side thing that checks how many "husk points" or something, because issuing a new banner (challenge) via a live update seems too complex. How would it know?

If you downloaded the images and stored them locally, might the method for custom LAN banners work?

It'd work fine, but unlocking them is different. Those are related to your multiplayer save file. 

What I am talking about is how did they add banners for things like Hero of the Last days - those are Http based banners (not locally stored) which is why you'll notice it takes time for the banner to load in. Those banners were not added by a patch or DLC so somewhere, a setting is enabled to "unlock" them in the list of banner choices. Since no banners are automatically unlocked I'd have to take a look.
