That's because there was nothing in there to make people pissed off.
People wanted Batarians.
People wanted Geth.

Both are viable and believable assets in the game.

Determining a fake isn't as simple as that. It's not "Reputable source: real / Disreputable source: fake." Reddit isn't a reputable source, either, but there have been leaks through there that have been spot on. And official news sources have got things completely wrong more often than any of them would like to admit. Someone recently leaked a series of mocked-up console specifications to see how many sites would take the bait without a second source. Depressingly, this was quite a high number.

The name's blurred, the commenter is anonymous, the image host is generic - this isn't someone leaking for attention, or glory, this is someone who is putting those images out there but doesn't want to be caught. This is either because they're looking for a reaction, or because they can't keep a secret but know they'd get in trouble. A popular blog that allows anonymous comments, in that case, is as good a place as anywhere. They're certain to get around.

The other thing is, the assets. How was this made? You can see they've got transparency underneath the N7 banners - hardly impossible to reproduce, but if the pictures are faked, it's a fine level of attention to detail. They've gone to great lengths to make it look as plausible as possible. The scores are switching back and forth, one of the banners includes a the scoreboard switching. It's possible a very good fraud would doctor it to look like that was happening, but why would they make extra trouble for themselves? They also contain a lot of assets that only an insider would have access to. Who's going to make a Krogan Sentinel image from scratch just for the sake of a bit of puckish mud-stirring? More likely that it is a genuine screenshot.

I wouldn't say I'm 100% sure it's real, but if it's a fake, it's a very dedicated fraudster that's going to receive no recognition whatsoever. It fits with what we know, too - why else would they hide the identity of the adept and only unless it's the biggest surprise of the lot? Certainly more likely to be real than false. I'd say I'm 75:25, maybe 80:20 at a push?

You make all the points that I want to make. 

Many of you are saying it would only take a couple of minutes to photoshop these banners. However, they use art assets that have not yet been published. This implies a really high dedication and talent level of the hoaxer, or a leak. Both are plausible, but their likelihoods are quite different. Not definitive by any stretch, but I'm leaning towards it being true.

krogan looks like the botched clone from ME2.
fem turian looks like whatsherface from Omega with a new paintjob

Look at the detal of the krogan...

The model has tech armor on it with a hammer. You saying some one would go that far?

I'm skeptical. A lot of the banners seem like they'd be for rather redundant challenges. Still, we'll have to wait and see.

Also, even if there are no Salarians and we do get a Prothean/Collector, I'm still not even mad.

Easy. The Alliance Infiltrator is the same/nearly the same model as EDI from SP (as seen in the Official Screenshot @ Hydra). With that in mind you can easiely put an EDI...i meant Alliance Infiltrator Bot right into the Picture.
The Talon Mercanery shown in the Punisher picture is nothing else than the Torso from Zaeed (SP) and the Recon Hood Helmet. The Collector in fact is a piece of work BUT if you compare this picture to the Punisher one...its nearly the same in Green. In Mass Effect 2 you encountered numerous of these , so it wouldn't be hard to take a picture. 



So to say i don't believe these are actual Bioware Material. But as stated before it would be nice if it would be.

Juggernaut and Prime use different models. The Juggernaut in these 'leaked' banner images do not have the transmitter nodes on their backs. Nor does the Juggernaut mode at all, given it is not a command unit like the Prime is. Your debunking was debunked. :U

And I agree with this statement mind. I myself have lots of experience making convincing joke edits with photoshops, like fake game UI's. However, I still believe these banners are legit due to the evidence before my eyes.

and what is funny...we KNOW most of the stuff IN THOSE pics is gonna be in the DLC....the unknowns however...so someone puts some unconfirmed horsecrap in with LEGIT stuff....doesnt make LEGIT...just suspect

If you keep in mind that these early Collectors have indeed a more greenish look than our Collectors have , with a bit of Photoshopping even that can be achieved.

No , I'm justlooking at the details.Sure, you can say the edibot, the collector, the prime andthe Zaeed merc can be esily be faked..But the Krogan war master with his tech armor and the female turican can't. That is way to much detal to 3d model for a quick fake.
