They can "make them up"....you haven't seen them, we haven't seen them.  So in theory "anything" can be real.

You have no idea how 3d modeling works do you. A faker can't fake them to that much detail being that no one has seen them in detail.

Yes I have no idea what so ever...looks at wall in office, oh hey there Bachelors of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.  Yes I know nothing, nothing at all about photoshop, illustrator, or any other program out there to render up an image banner.

You do know it's Maya and other 3d models that have to be made first to even start to make a pic with.
If this was pure 2d art it would be one thing. But this is a pic of 3d art.

Ok professor, thanks for the input tonight.  We'll see what happens on tuesday.  Like I said more than once I would love for them to be real...still calling them fake.

Look to the banner.

note the glowing spots in the chin area, the dark mouth area, and the forehead plates. Compare them to Zaeed's mask, shown below. Then remove Zaeed's tattoos and the upper plating on the shoulderpad whilst adding glow to the eye slots to prevent the eyes from being seen and you have this human MP character, with some recoloring to remove some armor patterns, likely for the color customization of the suit.

While the seemingly new art assets lend these banners some credibility as I've said already, people should refrain from using the argument "past leaks were true, therefore these leaks are true," as it's logically fallacious.

Looks a lot more like Zaeed's welder mask helmet to me (seen here: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/7950802/1#7951051), along with the rest of the outfit being similar to Zaeed except for the pauldron and tattoo on the right arm. They've already used Kasumi, Kai Leng, and Garrus models for multiplayer character so I have no problem believing they would use Zaeed too.

Personally, I'd guess it's shats and giggles - all the asari on the banner are characters in poses that are already available. If they were adding new asari, I think they'd want to showcase the new girls, rather than bring out the Retaliation lot. Only doubt - part of me wonders if the six characters in the Punisher banner, should it prove legitimate, might just be the launch characters, and maybe we'll get new characters unlocked over the weeks as with Retaliation, in which case they might be keeping new salarians and asari out of the banners just so as not to give the game away.

This is kind of tenuous, though - I'm basing it on the ideas that "and more" suggests more than six characters, that Chris Schanche was asked about his favourite class and could "narrow it down" to four which barely counts as narrowing it down if there's only six, and I seem to remember a developer saying something along the lines of "all these characters will be about on release day," which might mean there are other characters who won't be. I think quite a lot of that might be wishful thinking on my part, though. q: 

Short answer - I live in hope! 

It's been stated that all the new characters will be released at the same time. I live in hope as well that the Punisher spotlighted characters are the all-new skin/design kits that are being rolled out to show off and there will be a few more that will be coming along for the ride.

There is a chance, if the Punisher Banner is real in the first place, that not all characters are present on it. However, at this time, We know of no Salarians.

Jolly good show, old bean! Cracking good eye. I do believe it is a splendid mixture of both worlds like a pureed butternut squash in a basalmic reduction with just a hint of clover!

I have a feeling I might dump cash on this if things in the RNG go pear-shaped.

Never saw a Collector kit coming with Reckoning. Probably looking forward to the Geth Juggernaut kit the most, but I don't know how it's going to be if fighting against either Reapers or Collectors.

If you look carefully at the salarians in the SS banner, one of them (if not two) has a different pose and skin tone than the original salarian on the right. The armor color is different, but the pose and skin tone are the same as the original.

I'm going to assume we have more salarians.

 Gah, see... I was excited for this DLC for sure.  But now I've done the unthinkable... I've become... HYPED!
This is a first for me... what do I do?  I've been wanting a Prothean, and this Collector Thrall thing satisfies that need in a way I never thought possible.  And it seems so real... I just don't... I don't know what to do. I'm so hype.  I don't want to be hurt.

Considering how many Asari, Krogan, and Turians there are, it'd be kind of silly to award a banner in the same style for playing a race with only two characters. If there were no new Salarians, it would've made more sense to do one for Volus, Batarians, Drell, or hell, even Vorcha instead.
