The thought of a Leviathan controlling a single collector for a small skirmish is pretty ridiculous. Pretty sure they have the capacity to take over an entire platoon or larger of enemies.

^^

And there will likely be x-hundred/thousand players using them at any one time.

Still not seeing the problem here.

People do not realise the full implications, we aren't playing as enthralled COLLECTORS. We are actually playing as the LEVIATHANS themselves!

Leviathan: Yes, the fire rises!

Question:

We watched the Leviathans sway a sovereign-class Reaper into throwing itself at the ocean, and turn a unit of Cannibals, Brutes and Husks on their collective hats. Why would they bother taking over a single Collector with their wide radius orb of immense bull****, when they could theoretically seize control of 11 waves of insert-your-preferred-faction-here?

ie; why the massive lapse in judgement?

I'm not saying I don't believe. Just that I have my doubts. Between the poor photoshop mock-up (just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than Tali Face) and the fact that the Leviathans decided that a single, angry glowing zombie was the superior choice over widespread indoctrination, I'm left with a lot to think about.

I wonder how it's going to speak considering Collectors just speak in insect-like chittering.
Or if we'll get some kind of weird Leviathan-like voice...
Either or, both of them will be strange and out of place.

Maybe because a wide area indoctrination assault is easier for the Reapers to tap into and study while a focused beam may be more likely to slip through? Think of it like stealth fighter radars generally are more focused compared to normal radars. Or at least thats what my book told me.

I don't like it, but it DOES fit the lore, so I can't say anything about it.

I am really hoping this it is real. I've been wanting a Collector Thrall ever since I played Leviathan.

Harbinger talked to use through collector units.

Even though I wanted a Prothean I'm glad Bioware met us halfway on this character. No doubt he will be an Ultra-Rare. His powers seem to me like they would be about buffing allies and maybe one offensive power.

Also, one Leviathan likely could Thrall single units across multiple theaters.

Said this already in another thread, but...

Something about the "collector" really bothers me. Like, the art style isn't consistent with the other characters. It feels like it came out of a Blizzard game, you know?

Oh please let it be a Harby-esque voice. That'd be cup-filling goodness.

Oh wait, I didn't think of that.
Why would a Leviathan possess a Collector in order to fight the Reapers which it can also possess.

yeah, it doesn't make any since. We learned in leviathan that they can control reapers that are in range of the orbs. So why control one thrall to send in against enemies it is also in range to control? That would be putting the rest of the allied squad in danger for a pointless mission/battle. And wasting recorcess in the war.

Indeed. This has got to be the most logical assertion I have seen.

Just because someone deosn't like Collector Thralls, does not mean they shouldn't be added.
