They're the same thing to me. I always entertained the idea of Collectors being a lore justifiable alternative thanks to Leviathans.

I don't like it, but it DOES fit the lore, so I can't say anything about it.
Indeed. This has got to be the most logical assertion I have seen.
Just because someone deosn't like Collector Thralls, does not mean they shouldn't be added.
nope. It doesn't fit. If you played leviathan dlc you'd know that.

They MIGHT be. It's still not 100% certain.

Oh wait, I didn't think of that.
Why would a Leviathan possess a Collector in order to fight the Reapers which it can also possess.
yeah, it doesn't make any since. We learned in leviathan that they can control reapers that are in range of the orbs. So why control one thrall to send in against enemies it is also in range to control? That would be putting the rest of the allied squad in danger for a pointless mission/battle. And wasting recorcess in the war.

Question:
We watched the Leviathans sway a sovereign-class Reaper into throwing itself at the ocean, and turn a unit of Cannibals, Brutes and Husks on their collective hats. Why would they bother taking over a single Collector with their wide radius orb of immense bull****, when they could theoretically seize control of 11 waves of insert-your-preferred-faction-here?
ie; why the massive lapse in judgement?
I'm not saying I don't believe. Just that I have my doubts. Between the poor photoshop mock-up (just when I thought it couldn't get any worse than Tali Face) and the fact that the Leviathans decided that a single, angry glowing zombie was the superior choice over widespread indoctrination, I'm left with a lot to think about.
exacly. So the leviathans are in range to control of this one thrall but not enemies its shooting at with collectors/reapers????

see? We'd have to use our imagination for it to make since. As of right now.. It just doesn't work.

Well, characters always come with a description to explain who/what they are and how they contribute to the fight. So when/if this Collector is released it will have an official lore explanation for its existence.
We won't really need to justify because BioWare will.

What? Sorry but that isthe mostrational way to make sense of it. Being that theleviathen are a race so old they saw the birth of the dinosaurs, it's not a strachthey know how to manipulate their tech. Nothing say they can't make smaller version of their domination tech.Rip The Reaper wrote...
