Oh, Bioware just want moar moolah, hence the romance and 'gamble/drink while millions get eaten' DLC, which hilariously enough, people will buy.

Since it seems to address some particular requests,  I don't see why one wouldn't think this would sell at least decently.

Well, except for the whole decoration of Shep's new Citadel room....I have no idea who asked for that or who is excited about it.

The rest though, yeah...

The characters of Mass Effect have always been the part of the series that has resonated most with fans and probably the biggest complaint of the original game (outside of the ending) was that there wasn't enough content with certain characters. A DLC that has an extreme character focus and which allows our Shepards to spend more time with these characters is exactly what fans have wanted and Bioware listened and provided exactly that for their last DLC.

You do know she was being sarcastic right Image IPB[/quote]

Nope, didn't.  Just find it interesting how these minority comments are constantly made when the data all points the other way.  And yeah I'm reasonably new, but intelligent enough to see the obvious.

I go back to a poll I made in December.

social.bioware.com/4175959/polls/42266/

Over 70 percent voted wanted post ending dlc.

And going by what I have read many fans still aren't happy with what we have got and with this upcoming pre-ending dlc it really isn't enough.

There is still a large number that still dislike the ending and if bioware truely do listen to their fans we would be getting post-ending dlc and not pre-ending that doesn't mean anything in the end.

UPDATE
A video further showing that many fans are still unhappy with the ending with poll results

www.youtube.com/watch

Surely you realize what an unrepresentative number of people that poll has? 100 out of millions is shoddy for making a generalization, especially from as place as biased as the BSN.

So the german based polls, one with over 20000 and one with over 10000 participants should naturally be overlooked?  The game informer poll, the ign poll?  How about the CNET poll with over 20000 results, 83% of which want a new ending?  Come on, at some point you're being obtuse just for the sake of it.

Most of those are pre EC.

20,000 people isn't comparable to the millions of others who purchased the game.

They don't need to address the endings, they just need to improve Priority: Earth to feel more like the epic finale of the trilogy.

A post-ending DLC would have been nice in my eyes if it would answer questions. I don't need no happy-happy-go-merry-row-row-row-your-boat-kumbaya-ending. I just have logical questions about how a lot of stuff is possible.
A post-ending DLC were we only see Shepard run to the Normandy with a grin on his/her face waving at people would just be as bad as no changes because it does not explain anything.

Don't get me wrong, I can live with most endings (control, destroy and reject) but synthesis raises more questions than it answers.

Maybe it would have been better to not give the Reapers 'understanding' and 'destroyability', losing a battle against a mysterious foe that is evolved beyond our understanding is very well possible in a billions of ages old universe and is no shame. Trying to answer some questions by opening bigger questions is just a shame.

All in all I love the game though but I have only played the MP after my only playthrough because of that.

BioWare listened. They have responded. Bending to the will of the fanbase isn't quite the same thing.

Let's see:

One month before the EC came out, I posted a list of things the EC would have to feature to save the ending for me. The EC featured 90% of what was in that list.

Ever since ME3 came out, I repeatedly asked for more content for the ME2-exclusice characters. The Citadel DLC will apparently give me that.

Then, maybe I was just guessing right, but the EC Synthesis features some elements of my pre-EC interpretation.

Leviathan fixed the lack of foreshadowing of the Catalyst, anchoring it firmly within the ME universe, and Omega lets me save Petrovsky, something I also asked for, though they probably put that in before my input could've had any relevance.

I feel that the ME3 team realized a lot of what I wanted and posted about. As I said elsewhere, reasonable expectations, constructive criticism and a calm voice (I haven't been always that, but I try) can get you a long way with Bioware, and I think most of those claims of "Bioware not listening" have more to do with unreasonable expectations.

Not the german one with 10,000 participants. Even after the EC (which succeeded at all only because of how desperate we all were for SOME sort of change), over 50% are not happy. That's called a majority.

Actually they are.  That's how statistics tracking works, whether in politics, economics or anything else.  Given the area that poll covered, the demographics involved and the sample size, it is entirely representative of the game's player base.  If you really want to get into this I'll start posting links to statistics methods, or you could just find them on your own real quick before responding.

BSN is slanted towards people still unhappy. Its been that way since day one. It proves nothing.

And you are a blind follower.  Watch the video he posted.  Do a little research.  Look up polls, they aren't hard to find.  If Bioware really had numbers you think they wouldn't release them to justify thier assinine decisions?  They have misled and made false promises throughout this whole debacle.  Why would they stop now?  Every single friend I've talked to, every single person I've raised mass effect 3 with has talked about the ending.  And they are ALL dissatisified, even angry, a full year later.  When you establish trust and make a promise you have an obligation to those that relationship is with.  So cut your bull**** statements and find a little evidence before pretending you know anything.

No, no, no! You misunderstood. We are a 66% minority.
Silly mongoose, don't you know how corporations work. Ohhoho what a riot you is!

I really doubt that Jade is follower neither the blind one, she simply tired of being ignored like it was for almost 1 year... BioWare had their chance to fix the narrative and they failed 4 times already so that´s why she is not going to jump out of window if this Citadel DLC going to be another fail. She knows very well these polls and all that stuff but as Colin Moriarty and BioWare said that you /meant to be we/ are vocal minority, the best thing about this claim is that neither Moriarty or BioWare has numbers to backup their accusation. they got only samples which saying otherwise.

And releasing paid or free DLCs which is going to justify and retcon your own writing isn´t going to help either, let´s just say that BioWare should rather release game in late summer instead.

I'm upset that that poll doesn't have an option for me. "The ending was bad but doesn't need to be changed". Seriously, why would that option get overlooked?

Asking for Harbinger to be included in a DLC was also pretty reasonable considering that he was the primary antagonist and Mass Efffect 2 and was evidently supposed to represent Sovereign's successor.  That said, I sincerely hope that they acted on that feed back.

Now, now. That quote was referring to 'writer babies'. Who are we to say whether a plot should be continued or just dropped without ceremony? Writers shouldn't even be obligated to finish their sentences. They shuld be perfectly...

:Pjk. Isn't that the last option.
