I´m not purchasing any Bioware product before I have read a review or watched an LP.
Fair enough. This DLC prompted me to get off my ass and try Omega out. It wasn't bad.

"Because unlike BioWare, our data is actually publically available."
I saved this from another thread that discussed BW number's. And since it's the same guy talking about number's from that thread into this one, I just want to make sure we're operating on the same wavelength.

Many an injustice has been done on
this thread, and now it's time for the haters of the bsn to be proven
wrong once and for all. Welcome back to reality!

Bird......as someone who make's definitive statement's and therefore inpsire's confidence that they know what they are talking about,, I'd like to know the following.
Have you seen this evidence?
If yes......
Do you know where this data was sourced?
Do you know the sample size that was taken?
Were those who comprised the sample made up of the same or different demographic/s and/or genders and/or religous belief's etc.
Were the sample's comprised of those with an active interest in the outcome of the trial?
Was more than one sample taken?
What were the interval's between sample times?
If more than one sample was taken at different intervals:
- Were the sample subject's the same one's each time the survey was taken?
or
- Were the sample subject's different individual's from the previous sample?
Which platform did the player use to play the game?
Was the copy used or new?
Did the sample size only rate ME3 or did they also factor in previous entries?
I'm just warming up here so I'll rest off and let you gather your answer's to those questions.
Unless
your statement above was said more as a reflection of faith that such
sampling has been done, as opposed to knowing it has been done, and done
to a standard that mean's independent scrutiny will agree with said
assessment.
Incidently,
Are you aware of any limitation's that would render suspect the data captured for stat analysis?
Example include:
Small sample size,
Not registering strength of opinion
Incomplete questionaire results
Poor questionaire design.
Not completing one runthrough of ME3
Not playing at least one of the DLC's for single player
Never having heard of ME3 or the MEU
Was the sample subject able to convey their thought's?
- English speaking?
- Were translator's on hand for those who did not speak english
- Did those who were hard of hearing (if any) hav trouble understanding the question's if telephone polled?
- Did those who were blind (if any) have brail questionaire's provided?
- Were those who were blind (if any) able to read brail?
And on, and on.
Also, it would be helpful to know exactly how many unit's of ME3 has been 'sold'.
Also, the term reached out to implies that individual's were sought out, but makes no distinction if these people were actually spoken to. Meaning that if they contacted an ME3 owner once and they were out, then never sought further contact after that, they still appear on the list as having been 'reached out to'. I.e. They maybe quoting the number of people they wanted to talk to. Not the number of people they actually talked too.
As for a comprehensive job. What did the job entail? How did they contact people? Who did they contact? How did they know to contact them? Did the surveyer's know before hand these people knew anything about ME3? Where did their contact details come from? What did they do once contact was established? Does comprehensive cover all of these angles? Or does comprehensive cover one of them that was pursued comprehensively? While the other's were not?
How manypeople here in BSN has actual knowledge of a person who was contacted to take part in this survey? Were BSN member's included or omitted from this survey? Given that BSN is a captive audience who are highly likely to have played a ME game and thus give a higher than positive hit rate of people who know what ME is and have played it, why, in all those million's of out reaches, are not more people coming forward to say I was surveyed?
So you see bird. It's clear that there much to say and discuss regarding how this survey was conducted and carried out.
Cause it's just to much fun finding out how something like this was carried out and the limitation's that event's placed upon the data.
Would also like to know the confidence level's (p value's) generated by the survey, but they probably didn't design the survey with those in mind.

You're right, numbers don't lie.
68% of the people who voted are purchasing the DLC. Despite the ending controversy, Leviathan was also Bioware's best selling DLC.
The success or failure of this DLC will be determined by its quality, not by the ending controversy. Honestly, most people have moved on.

You need to stop saying that, unless you have some sort of evidence for it.Han Shot First wrote...

Chris said "biggest selling", and it's a completely ambiguous phrase. Made the most amount of money or sold the most copies (and if the former, no doubt influenced by also being the most expensive)? In all markets? On all platforms? In a certain amount of time (the statement was made not long after its release, so it's not a measurement of total lifetime sales)?
There are any number of ways in which that statement does not equate to "best selling DLC" (and we know it's not the best selling overall, because Fernando revealed the obscene attach rate for From Ashes). For all you know, he could have simply been saying that it was the largest DLC they've ever made available for purchase (I give him more credit than to be that slimy, however).

Ah yes, they should be ashamed of themselves because they bought a videogame downloadable they like. How could they? This is unforgivable!
