He didn't ask where the files are located.  He asked where to find them...and then he called himself a noob.

DATool lets you export them directly for whichever model you are viewing.  It gets them from where they reside in the game files, but it grabs them in a graphical manner with a nice interface that seems, to me, would benefit the OP.

It's the easiest, and least technical, method for accomplishing what he wants to do.

These forums are falling apart today. All of the posts keep disappearing randomly.

Folder: C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\data

File: modelhierarchies.erf

Open modelhierarchies.erf by using the dragon age toolset and extract what MMH you want.

...........................

You can also use DAtool which is an app you download from the projects area of this site.  It allows you to browse model types and export the MMH, msh, etc....

Actually modelhierarchies.erf is only the MMH and PHYs. The actual MSHs are in modelmeshdata.erf. But there's virtually no reason to ever extract that. If you are making custom edits to a model just to use a different texture you should only need the MSH and PHY and leave the reference to the original MSH intact. If you are trying to convert the model into a more standard 3D format for use in a modelling app, all you need is the name and tazpn's tool will extract it by itself.
