lol if you consider the 2 failed release dates, and bugs like this, I wonder how much cash BioWare has made by tricking people into buying points.

I feel bad for you guys. :(

I just played the game and see the RTO DLC available in the downloadable content option. I bought it, and redeem the points and started download it. However, the download get stucked so I restart my game.  After I reenter the game, I see that in downloadable content it appears that I didn't buy the DLC and my points are gone as well. I just want to know what had happened. Can anyone help me with this?

EDIT I cannot  guarantee it 100% but I believe that your points have already been associated with the DLC and you will not have to buy it again. As soon as it is available for download, you'll resume d/l'ing it when you start the game and log in to the server.

One question though. You're sure it showed RTO DLC on your downloadable content and not some other DLC? I envy you! =)

I agree. Im not sure how it works on a computer, but on a xbox after you bought it you can deleat it and redownload it as much as you want without paying for it again.

There's far better ways to scam people out of money that don't involve hurting your reputation by delaying releases, nor actually involve creating extra content at all.

Like the OP, here's a picture of it in my Available thing. I bought it, but it wants me to buy it again. D:

Seems like a leaked version of this DLC... Did you download something named Return to Ostagar but not from Bioware and then disable it? If you did that this pic you uploaded is the result.

No, I did not. A friend of mine also has it in his Available Content list. It's odd, though. The picture was of a Golden Helmet when I bought it the first time, and then I realized I had inadvertently deleted Shale while removing a mod, so I exited to reinstall her and the picture turned into what's in the jpg, a skull with a helmet.

Edit: I should add this was on my laptop, and not PC. If that means anything. :?

Yeah, it's showing up on my laptop and not PC. That's very odd.

Woo what do you expect guys?

Some little stories:
Test team found some ugly bugs... that's the panic...
Bioware manager: No care of this, our fans compain so let release the dam thing to respect the date and we will fix bugs later.

Commercial manager: What there's that much tests to do? Too many time, let take the risk and the money and release the dam thing.

Programmer: What? Test Team is still testing this? I fnished program this a century ago... what are they doing? Let stop lost time, I'm a good programmer and there's no bugs so skip the tests and release the dam thing.

Do you really want it be like that?

I don't want it to be like this:
OMG we have some nasty bugs... ok, lets try to fix them at last time and if not lets just say it's delayed only 5 minutes before deadline.
That's the nasty part. Why telling us 5 minutes before deadline? That is the most disturbing thing imo.

Not really sure how effective a "trick" that would be. For example, I bought my points, RtO not released yet, but when it is released, I'll redeem my points and get the DLC. If I hadn't already bought them, then I would when RtO is released. Either way, it's the same purchase of 400 points, with only the time of purchase being different.

If it's a trick, it's not a very effective one. They tricked me into buying something that I was planning on buying...

I have this thing fixed by reinstalling the whole game. Base on the discussion above, this bug may occur whenever someone disable any official download content, no matter it is a good copy or leaked version. So, only advise is don't use any modder to disable any official dlc unless you are 100% sure that you won't be tricked into spending points. GG.

It would be nice to see a developer of the game comment on this thread. Why is the DLC showing up for some people in the available content menu? Is this some type of epic server bug?

LOLs, they would have stand out and tell us the reason long time ago if they could. May be some kind of "Rules" that stop them from telling us the cause.
