It has to be non-zero for scripts on the object to work. The problem is nomally caused when an environmental object is converted to a placeable. If you do this the fortitude, hardness and hit points of the cew placeable are zero.Lugaid of the Red Stripes wrote...
I vaguely remember something about placeables needing their fortitude and hardness set to one for certain events to work properly.
