Trying to set up a scenario where the player has to destroy an object to kill the monster. Problem I’m having is “How do you kill a creature who’s plot is set to true.” I have tried various scripts but nothing seems to work. So if anybody has the code for killing a plot : true creature I’d greatly appreciate it. Any other idea’s are also welcome.
Thank you.

an example

and the parts that make it work...
SetPlotFlag(oTarget, FALSE);
SetImmortal(oTarget, FALSE);

( this deals with immortal creatures as well. )

After you turn off the plot flag, you might want to use a delay command to apply your damage/death effect.

Any problems destroying the object and getting it's on-death script to run? I vaguely remember something about placeables needing their fortitude and hardness set to one for certain events to work properly.

It has to be non-zero for scripts on the object to work. The problem is nomally caused when an environmental object is converted to a placeable. If you do this the fortitude, hardness and hit points of the cew placeable are zero.

Thanks PofD for “the parts that make it work” seemed to do the trick.

Good suggestion LRS I will consider that.

When in doubt, take a look at the troll blueprint's OnDamage script. Trolls are set to 'immortal' rather than 'plot', but the script basically does what you're looking for (kills something otherwise unkillable).
