No, they said "between 5 and 7", and considering how secretive they were about the Collector, it's probably a fancy way of saying "exactly 6", e.g. one for each class. Also, they scrolled through all class lists, and there wasn't another (empty) kit outline anywhere.

Enthralled collectors make sense lore wise.
It would have been Prothean, I wouldn't say, but since we got the Leviathan DLC, they fit in.
