I hope this game doesn't have weapons or armor that give +stats or armor....
Titan quest was an epic fail.
In it I accidently misplaced my boots by clicking and dragging and I couldn't wear A SINGLE piece of equipment after that. All weapons and armor had stat requirements to wear and all of them had +stats....
Very annoying to constantly do math for half an hour whenever u have a few new items to replace old ones.

It does, but you should probably hate the implementation, not the idea.

Why does this relate to the toolset?

No idea. But it's pretty funny that the OP made the mistake and blames the game for the results. Especially when a LOAD GAME would have fixed everything...
In direct response, just about every game with stat based characters has equipment the impacts your stats. It's RPG 101 stuff.

I think there WERE some games that your base stats still had to meet the minimum requirements for equipment before you could use them. I want to think Dungeon Siege II was like that.

Tons do. This game does as well as Torchlight if you are looking for modern games.
Even back in the days of old... the Gold Box days (25 years ago)... there were effects that would drag your strength down to 3 and you'd have to dump gear because of your encumberance limitations.
But if it takes you a "half hour to do the math," you may want to brush up on your 1st grade math skills.

sorry miscommunication I meant no items like this:
Chest
Required strength 30
Boots
Required strength 20
Attributes +10 strength
if you have 20 strength and equip boots then chest, then you have no choice but to keep boots unless you want to loose chest...
I hated that about titan's quest.
Wow doesn't have stat requirements for a reason.

The game does have stat requirements, but you need to meet the requirements with your base stats without modifications included, so you won't have the same problem as you mentioned.
Also in TQ it wasn't that bad. In your example I would just stash the chest until I could wear it again. Or if that wasn't worth it, I would stash the new boots until I could wear the chest without the old ones. No big deal.

So the problem is that you shouldn't be able to use the chest armor in the first place, but the game let you wear it if you have the item to boost the stats with?
So you think the option to wear it is a bad idea? When you could just chose not to wear it?

The problem with TQ is that when I have tonnes of equipment I loose track of what actually keeps that equipment on my character.
Tq has weird savegame system... Or at least as far as I remember when I reloaded a game, enemies were respawned but equipment stayed the same.
Basically it saves your character permanently whenever you quit or reload a game. Or at least that was my experience I couldn't come back and rearrange my equipment even tho I reloaded. It was all read and unwearable.
Basically when you have 8 items. You don't think about keeping old ones, you sell them. Or you don't keep chest that you "can't wear" because without noticing that there are 5 items that have +5-15 strength you think "can" wear it even tho it has 50 str more requirement than your base. Then you sell your old chest and play for another 3-4 hours in the game...
Then you accidently misplace your boots and bam! You can't wear a single item... Restart game from the very beginning. nevermind that you are 20-30 hours in the game.
Reload? I reloaded (I don't remember how reload system in tq works, in my memory right now all I can remember is that it has only one save.. Perhaps that is not so...) Regardless I reloaded the most distant save-game I could find and my character had exact same stats and equipment as when I misplaced the item.
That really dissappointed me.
Thankfully Dragon age doesn't have +15 strength or dexterity on items and it doesn't have "weird" requirements on items.
But I could wear items that had stat requirements above my base because I had +str on my other items.
And it takes half an hour to go through every combination out of 30 items and find perfect 8.

Unlike you, I do not quit when things are hard.

WoW is not a difficult game. Let's not pretend otherwise.
As for Dragon Age and +stat items, yes they exist, and yes you can use them to bypass requirements to some extent. For example, one of my characters was 4 points of strength away from being able to equip a set of armor.
I equipped a +2 to all stats helm, and a +2 strength ring, equipped all the armor I wanted, and then removed the +stats items. I was able to keep all the armor equipped even though my stats were now below requirements for equipping, and it never forced an unequip.

I was just gonna say what Telvannis already said. Even if you unequip pieces here, it doesn't force you out of other armor you 'no longer' meet the stat requirements for. No worries.
