Seriously, though, it sounds like he has **** for offensive capabilities. The other stuff won't compensate for that to the extent that you probably think it will.

Yeah, he just argued my no crowd control point by telling me to bring a scorpion into Platinum, pretty sure he doesn't know what he's talking about or he's trolling.

This was me playing platinum w a subpar kit using a very subpar weapon vs geth on vancouver. All I play is platinum. That doesnt make me super good, but it doesnt mean I'm stupid either, I'm very familiar with this game on its highest difficulty, and know a thing or two about crowd control.

I played this just a few days ago: www.youtube.com/watch

And no amount of shields will help you against the firepower the enemies sport on gold+. True, you can spamm geth turret, but when you are spamming it, you aren't killing anything. Bottom line: you are just standing and wasting air (well, not exactly since it's a geth but you know what I mean).
3. Some enemies cannot be lifted and drained as I understand: dragoons probably laugh at this because they are armored
4. Regarding your "stand next to LZ tactics": I imagine you will hasten to demonstrate how easy it is to do it in a few days?

Absolutely, i have a game recorder and will probably play around with it a bit when I'm not working on my college classes/work.

1: wrong
2: wrong edit: actually, this one could be true if your teammates are fairly skilled.
3: doesnt matter
4: EZ

Well then I get my popcorn ready for your show :) Can't wait to see this pizza delivered or those devices disabled.

I also added point 5. Phantoms kill mostly with palm blaster it you are playing right. If they get near you, which they will, they will simple shoot/melee you to death. Those shields mean nothing. Same with brutes.

The only enemy that really loses against this geth is Banshee.

Now that I think of it, Juggernaut paired with a Volus Sentinel/Engineer should be a duo that can defend against anything short of a Reaper. You have a lot of shieldboosting plus either three pets at once or a massive debuff on any enemy who dares to come close.

People keep complaining about pizza delivery, dont you already walk during delivery, geezus.

Phantoms easily distracted by the same turret that restores your shield. The most dangerous part of a phantom is getting sync killed. Phantoms will be a joke vs the jugg.

Yes, you walk. After you kite enemies from your intended delivery path. And run to the pizza to pick it up if it's on the other side of the map. Both of which you cannot do with Juggernaut.

I would expect this to be more true for the krogan, he will have damage reduction from tech armor, damage reduction from rage mode, regenerating health, lots of health and shields, the ability to run and he can use hard cover. The geth on the otherhand might just turn out to be a sitting duck, yes he can deploy cover, but that will keep him protected from one side only. He is going to need all the shields and health he has.

Geth will be played a lot, that's for sure, but I suspect mainly because it's a cool character. I suppose for some elite players who clear platinum in less than 15 minutes this character would be only a hinderance in a team.

Although it would be cool to see a match with 4 juggernauts xD

You are giving this sync kill immunity a lot more credit than it deserves. As if it was a main cause of death for players. Which bewilders me because you are an experienced platinum player. Perhaps you are so good that you only die when you get surprised by a lost banshee quickly teleporting through the wall or a phantom sneaking behind your back, but I suspect most deaths in game are caused by traditional overwhelming gunfire.

He doesnt receive a nerf to his damage output from what I could tell.

Not a nerf, but he has no real benefits to them either. Honestly, I don't think survivability is necessarily DPS. If you're spamming the shield regen melee and the turret to keep yourself up, you're not firing at the enemy. Could be wrong, but it looked like that heavy melee can only target one enemy, and it doesn't do a lot of damage.

We'll see, but he looked really unimpressive offensively, at least to me.

I, for that matter, value Destroyer's stagger immunity much higher than sync kill immunity.

If this geth didn't have it, it would die as soon as a banshee appeared. Cannot outrun it, cannot kill it fast enough when there is more than one, only can wait to be grabbed.

having to avoid sync kill drastically controls your DPS options, since you have constant pressure from banshees and phantoms. With no fear of them, you can just walk forward, keep your turret up, and do whatever you want. If you are in danger, shoot some scorpion rounds on the ground as you walk backwards until you can place a wall.

Best kits in the game have high survivability. The end.

Tgi has special evade, cloak, and stims.
GI can see through walls, evade, and cloak
Kroguard can charge, hight fitness, and has barrier.

Survivability => +DPS

That doesnt give you the highest dps, but it makes it more and more noob friendly. Kits that go down faster require higher and higher amounts of skill to survive with.

Phantoms don't pressure me with their sync kills. They pressure me with palm blasts and sword melees. They also die very fast. I usually play kits that have to kill a phantom before she gets to close. If she does, she does not need sync kill to finish me. Her melee is sufficient. Yes, there is difference because I can gel, but I hardly ever make my decisions based on fear from phantoms sync kills.

Banshee, on the other, I can agree. Only because sync kills are her only useful, reliable and deadly weapon. But if she could grab this geth, you couldn't play reapers at all.

You only fear sync kills if you do not know how to play offensively under pressure while controlling aggro. With a fast kit, you can around in circles killing stuff not even bothering with the 2 banshees chasing you because you are on the move.
