It's a fashion faux pas. End of story.

Claymore's a bit better for boss units but slower than the Talon for mooks.
You can actually use Dark Channel with the Talon.
IMO the Talon is a better fit than the Claymore for run-and-gun-and-throw-a-power etc.

Throw rank 5 evo. No cooldown.

When I tried to promote claymore and throw-recharge Fury months ago I got told off  BSN.  Then Stardusk also tried, and again got "learn2play noob" comments.  After a while it's not worth trying to educate the blinkered and ignorant.

The no cooldown evo is overkill on a Claymore. 1.78s is really not that bad. You can Claymore -> BE -> Claymore -> BE without any pause.

So unless you want to use a Javelin or Crusader it's definitely better to take the +50% BE damage and the recharge evo in rank 6 (-200 damage and force, meh, who cares).

Animation skipping with another action is still slow and actually slower sometimes than RC'ing.

No it's not.

You still have to reload cancel though.

I use my fury powers to kill and weapons only to stagger or strip shields. Besides I have never liked that gun and since I can't get the hang of reload canceling it loses a lot of its appeal for me. I did see a fury join a lobby with that one equiped and was quicked kicked.

Because the Claymore is an overhyped PC noob weapon.

Haha you think that close is suicide? ;)

The fury can survive perfectly in the exact face of the enemy. Feneckus plays her much more at range than I, and lots of other guys, do...

Uhm as i said many players dont have the skill to do it and just fyi probably more than 90% of the playerbase lacks the skill to even play gold with whatever character they want wich speaks alot... Aaand also i myself said id try it didnt i?

As I said before  - Claymore works on everything. But Fury with Hurricane can also take an Acolyte. Plus for every 2 BE's you do with a Claymore I will do 3 with a Hurricane and still have the same DPS or even higher, plus I can switch from target to target faster or suppress the whole room and cause them all to roll.

Fury is one of the rare casters kits who can use heavy weapons without losing too much ability to cast, but why bother when hurricane does the trick?

It all depends on your style of play. Some of us get right in the enemies faces and trust our speed. Claymore and Javelin on every class is boring to some. I'll leave the shotguns to the infiltrators. For adepts, I don't even want to think about the gun or the ammo. I often use the CSMG with her and the Huntress.

Claymore is the shotgun version of the Harrier... a cure all for people who won't challenges themselves with other weapons.

Same way you say Infiltrators and Tactical cloak is a cure all, so is the Claymore. Irony at it's finest.

You definitely need DC to prime targets outside AF range for the extra weapon damage. Fitness is for noobs anyway ^_^

not going to lie. I was not impressed...

one shotting cannibals, husks and mauraders?? You can do the same thing with a talon + headshot, and you get 4 shots... let alone a wraith.

Because the Hurricane is the second most boring gun after the Acolyte while the Claymore might be the best gun that has ever appeared in a video game ?

Is that why I basically never see Claymore when playing in PUGs ? Hell, I'd say 75% of my friends list on Origin doesn't even use the Claymore.

Because she doesn't need a weapon at all.

I tried her with shotguns, Claymore too. They just break the rhythm. I prefer the chain "charge Acolyte, shot while running, make things boom and proceed to the next group". Seems more effective.

you dont see people using the claymore because according to many pc player on the forums, its the best gun in the game and nothing else is even close. who wants to use that?
yet if i use an infiltrator i am using crutches.
the double standard is silly.

Claymore gets boring after a while too. Everything does.

That's the Claymore's weakness. I tried to show that BEs do make up for it.

Also, why didn't you mention the parts where I one shotted Ravagers ? Phantoms ? Banshees/Praetorians' barriers ? Two shotting Brutes ? Scions ?

It's very easy to say "I never see X weapon used" blah blah blah blah.

Yet how many threads do we see comparing certain guns to something else?  Claymore is easily one of the most popular weapons, along with a Harrier, along with a Piranha and any other high DPS weapon.

Saying "well I personally don't see it" is neither (1) provable (2) remotely close to evidence or fact (3) just as easily refutable as someone can say "I see it once per lobby" and you have absolutely no way to prove them wrong.

It's a powerful weapon, meant for certain classes, used as a crutch by a majority of other classes.

I currently pack a Wraith on her and in all honesty, I can do pretty much everything you do in that video in about the same time.

Tu quoque Deerber ? :(

Haha :D As I said, I did try it out for a long time and it's currently my second weapon of choice on her. But the Wraith is more efficient for my playstile. I like to get in and bomb the room, don't know if that's clear :innocent: I like it more than shooting stuff. And on the fury, for once, I also think it's more efficient. Not saying I'm better than you as a fury, not even close, but I do think that if you embraced that other way of playing her you'd do even better. My personal opinion though.

I've gotta give you credit for making me realize a shotgun is the right thing to use on a fury, though. I much prefer it to the hurricane, these days.

In the end, as I said, I'm gonna use the claymore anyway. From tomorrow ;)
