Throw's cooldown with my build + Claymore : 1.78s
Throw's cooldown with standard Fury build + Acolyte X and Hurricane V : 1.44s
You can have a Claymore and spam biotic explosions just as well.
bah, most standard builds aren't great
talon>claymore for the fury.
Hurricane > Talon and Claymore for the Fury
:/ i disagree. Hurrikan 2 slow.... maybe as a sidekick to da Taylon

yes... On Xbox it's much harder to reload cancel on a class u need to constant spam powers.. Biotics engineers etc. so you have to learn to reload cancel with the a button while not moving... Which will still put you in cover many times... Pc players can reload cancel using the Medigel button... They won't admit to it but they can't fool us!

The only character I use the Claymore with and it happens to be the best option IMO is the Batarian Adept.
Couldn't you use the Claymore on any other class with Warp and get similar/same results? e.g. Human Sentinel, Krogan Adept, etc.

Because I can teach a monkey with a mouse to fire a claymore on a pc.
Because it's so much harder on consoles with auto-aim, right ?

If you skip lash, the Batarian only has warp as a cooldown power. Warp + Claymore + Cluster Nades does a ton of damage, it can kill Brutes and Scions. And that combo is pretty much instant. But you have to wait quite a bit if you want to warp + claymore + shockwave/throw.

So the actual technical use is the same as mouse and keyboard except with an actual control to select a target.

We always hear that excuse. What about against cerberus/geth/collectors ? No swarmers there ...

But I think I'm gonna pack a claymore from tomorrow. Shotgun ULM ftw
What if ULM takes the same slot as smart choke?
Who cares? I'm not gonna put the smart choke in anyway. No need for it when I'm at point blank range 95% of the time...

IDK, I'm probably putting the Lancer on all my ranged power users, and the Talon on my CQC power users anyway.

Would geth turrets/combat dron/seeker swarms be a better excuse? I don't think so and you probably don't too. GP's intent is the lack of control in auto-aim anyway. It's minute when it works properly but it's inherent to every aimmed shot on consoles. The experience from the precise lack of control is properly why most of us console players bemoan this.
Back ontopic. Variety or lack thereof, and skill/knowledge are probably the main reasons. I'll just state that majority of the players are building their manifest and the throwback to that 75% of all games take place on bronze/silver. RC is a technique most players will never realize without being informed of.
In the case of BSN people, the mentality of CD priority still ranks highly even now. That and the claymore is the epitome mark of skill required for a efficient player probably runs deep into elitist misconception.
