What's the point of supposedly getting an apartment on the Citadel, if it gets torn to pieces by the Reapers/Crucible explosion, and, depending on the ending, Shepard won't even be able to enjoy the apartment if it's rebuilt anyway?

****, BW is making you a favor allowing you to buy this DLC and you complain with these logic crap?
Just buy it, bro, and be happy that they listen to the fans :D

Because Shepard needs a place to privately make love with his significant other. EDI monitors every room in the Normandy, and she's not a very good confidant.

So Shepard can enjoy the days he has remaining?

Keep in mind, you as the player (assuming you have finished the game) knows what happens to the Citadel and Shepard. At the point that Shepard gets the apartment in the DLC, that is still unknown to him/her.

Chris, some people have said that this kind of attitude works in movies, but not when you are actually playing the game, because we are Shepard, therefore Shepard does in a way know. Can you silence that question once and for all?

If you're an actual roleplayer Shepard doesn't know. Get into your Sheprds head, Shepard doesn't know therefore you don't know.

Do you know for a fact that your apartment will blow up in the Citadel explosion? I think Patrick Weekes said to assume anyone or anything relevant to the story on the Citadel is still intact. And the damage is undone in the epilogue, anyway.

Now I picture Reaper-Shepard playing with life-size barbie dolls inside the apartment.

I doubt it. I understand those players who feel this way as it is hard to "unknow" what you know. Still, if you believe that Shepard has a personality and the role-playing aspect of the character, you should understand that Shepard does not know his/her fate or the fate of the Citadel while they are playing the game.

Please post evidence that this apartement was in damaged parts of the Citadel post-ending.

Ah, so we have to play thinking everytime " Maybe this is the time casper won't show up, maybe this time we will win, maybe the super house and the new War Assets will make a difference in the last battle"
And buy the DLC

We got an apartment with pinnacle station that soon become irrelevant, Consider this the same, its like renting a house, it's yours for abit until the real owner decides to sell it.... But in this case, gets blown up.
