Chris, some people have said that this kind of attitude works in movies, but not when you are actually playing the game, because we are Shepard, therefore Shepard does in a way know. Can you silence that question once and for all?

I doubt it. I understand those players who feel this way as it is hard to "unknow" what you know. Still, if you believe that Shepard has a personality and the role-playing aspect of the character, you should understand that Shepard does not know his/her fate or the fate of the Citadel while they are playing the game.

And this is why the DLC should be reloaded after going through with MEHEM.

Everything then makes sense.

Shepard's apartment at the end of control is pretty damn swanky.

Actually, I expect people who try to use a MEHEM save to bork their game as the plot hooks will not activate correctly.

Certainly, you are welcome to try, but keep a non-modded save handy as well.

Keep in mind, you as the player (assuming you have finished the game) knows what happens to the Citadel and Shepard. At the point that Shepard gets the apartment in the DLC, that is still unknown to him/her.

If you're an actual roleplayer Shepard doesn't know. Get into your Sheprds head, Shepard doesn't know therefore you don't know.

You do know that guy has ONLY played ME 3, right?

how is that relevant?

Why? I thought the DLC had nothing to do with the ending? The legends save is created for pre Cronos play. There should be hardly any end info in it other than what was chosen, which is Destory in MEHEM's case.

PS I hope you know what you potentially started.

I'd assume it means that Citadel has some new plot flags that either MEHEM won't recognize, or that it alters existing ones in a way MEHEM...won't recognize. Don't read too much into that, though.

That mods often need to be updated once new patches/expansions/DLCs get released because all kind of files get modified? nothing really surprising here, happens with every game with big mods

Off-topic question, does the rest of Bioware know about the MEHEM?

Didn't have to change anything with Omega. Only reason it had to be changed with Levi is because they changed end dialogue.

I can't imagine that they would change anything reagrding the end just for the sake of not actually doing anything.

Edit: Although I've seen weirder cases of stuff being changed just because it would break something else if not.

I'm assuming the mod does something to plot flags or something, and he's talking about using a "legend" save (that auto-save after finishing the game).

Though in the case of that mod, I'm not sure how much of the game it tries to replace (I'm not sure why it would be touching resources outside those final levels, but who knows), so maybe you'd even have to uninstall it.

I doubt he even knows, though. They always say that about mods.

There's still the cutscene bug Leviathan caused in EC endings (no future visions in Catalyst conversation)

Oh. If the changes to saves are made after Cronos, it should be much less likely. I haven't used teh MEHEM, so didn't know where it reads/changes the data.

Overall, people who have altered their games via modding alays run a risk something may not work in a new DLC, but it does sound like that is a low risk here.

True, but what I was getting at is that MEHEM doesn't really seem(I havent looked in detail) to alter the save it generates. You are still playing through the destroy ending according to it. The only thing I can think of being bad is if the Ending has changed (0.00~1 chance) or they have some extra hooks into that save for whatever reason.

Why do you think your apartment will get destroyed? In the Destroy EC slide you can actually see that the Citadel didn't get blown apart. It's in bad shape, but the majority of the "city" surface area is intact.

Just because you know what happens, doesn't mean shepard does. For an optimistic shepard, an apartment would be a good investment for after the war.

I hope staff members aren't getting a skewed perspective of why the endings upset people based on people shilling MEHEM like they do. There are a half-dozen or so solid, simple, genuine reasons why the ending was a failure to a great deal of people, but a lot of what I see on the forum is just nonsense.

Post-Destroy Shepard is on the Citadel.
