Has anyone read the two that have been redone in English?
I'm curious if they are any good, I've read a few of them in original Polish, and did like the series, but am wondering they managed to keep the ideals behind the story in the translation, and have been thinking about picking them up/recommending them to my friends, but am unsure if they are terrible or not, and would feel like a fool to recommend a badly translated novel, or something that did not manage to capture the essence of the Polish version to my friends, who are not exactly rolling in money.
The Witcher Novels?

Well I don't know how it was in the Polish versions of the book but I've read The Blood of Elves and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It really did capture the essence of the world.

I didn't even know the books were available in English.

I did read one of them (The last wish?), it wasn't bad but nothing special. If they are top quality fantasy in Polish then they haven't survived the translation.

They are remaking them for an English Audience, so far The Blood of Elves is done, and they are working on the second one, and expect to have it out by mid 2010.
As for the The Last Wish, that was honestly not that great in the Polish version either.
