Water off a ducks back, Chris. A large number of the people on BSN do not understand that game developed is constrained by a wide variety of different budgets, and that resources need to be allocated according to priorities. It is simply a reality of game design that some things get swept under the rug.

Thanks for letting us know, been wondering about it.

I don't see an issue it seems simple. They have only so many programmers etc so chose to allocate them to the main DLC. Appearance packs were once profitable but with the micro transactions in MP for same or higher price, it makes business sense as well as giving the dlc more content. I already have so many armours that go unused - especially if include those bought on Citadel.

Although saying that a new casual wear pack would have gone well with Citadel DLC.

I'm guessing the appearance pack didn't sell well. Or maybe appearance packs never generate a lot of revenue.

Bioware is a corporation just like any other and all corporations are motived by proft. If appearance packs were cash cows I'm sure we would have seen more than one.

Just to be clear, none of the above is intended as criticism.

Wait, whaat?!?! You guys should change the name of appearance pack one! It is... weird... Having number 1, when we're never getting number 2... Weird, I say!

It wasn't even anounced that more would be coming out. The team have been developing Reckoning and Citidel.

Just be greatfull for what you're getting and that another Mass game will come out.

Even though they thourght ME3 would be the last.

Sad, but thank you for the confirmation. Can you confirm if there will be any armor or weapon DLC in the future?

I get a lot of the criticism here, but this is just odd.

I'm sorry, but isn't it true that except for Javik, every squaddie has three different outfits? With different, and IMO, very much noticable stat bonuses even? And that's just me with the CE -which I assume many people got- I didn't even download the single apearance pack.

And I won't even comment on the embarassing "rip off" post.

It's ok Chris thank you for being honest and direct...it's much better.

I guess my hope for an Alliance/N7/Spectre armour is pointless right now. Oh well it was nice till lasted....have to stick with Cerberus armour.

I'd much rather they put all their efforts into the single player DLC as well. It is a shame there is no more appearance packs planned but support for the game had to end at some point and we've had a pretty good run of both free and paid content.

So BioWare, you cant be bothered to finish the Alternate Appearance Packs AGAIN?

For Mass Effect 2, we got screwed with not getting alternate costumes for Jacob, Legion, Mordin, Morinth, Samara, Kasumi and Zaeed.

Now for Mass Effect 3 we get screwed with not getting alternate costumes for Ashley, Kaidan, James, Tali and Javik.

Its like some sort of bad joke. BioWare starts something and sweeps it under the rug and hopes their customers don’t remember. Why is it so damn hard for them to finish these things? Its not that difficult to come up with a single alternate costume for these characters is it? Or was it just a marketing scam to release a Alternate Appearance Pack and cash in on some game hype to make some easy money?

You don’t see other game companies that have costume packs do such a half baked job. They release their costume packs shortly after the game is released and continue to release them on a regular schedule. Not a pack shortly after release, then a year later, a forum contest like event to select the next ones (which resulted in nothing) for ME2 and then for ME3 9 months later we get one followed by nothing in both ceases. Not even an explanation.

To me this just unprofessional.

Thanks for screwing us over again. .

And people wonder why they don't get straight answers to straight questions from me more often. It is exactly this sort of post that keeps developers off the BSN and away from answering your questions openly and honestly.

Tweedle, I'm sorry you feel this way, but you are not "owed" anything. Alternate appearances are nice, but not essential to completing the game. They are also not promised to you at any point. Instead of making more appearance packs, the team focussed on making story based single player content and free multiplayer content. Again, I am sorry you feel let down, but at the end of the day, we chose to put our resources elsewhere to make content that we believe more people would want.

Well then BW should just shut down BSN. They don't visit their own Social Network then what's the point? Just shut it down.

As much as I was pretty devo about ME3 as a whole - one thing I don't mind is the way DLC was handled.

I still don't like DLC - but getting a few larger story chunks is better than 19 different little packs of various ridiculousness that feeds only the rat pack collector part of the human brain (the same part that causes obsessive loot collecting in Skyrim and Diablo).

I can well imagine the response if BW shut down BSN entirely, all the rage so far over ME3 would be a mere storm in a teacup by comparison.

The Multiplayer forum imho shows (most of the time) what a good and respectful atmosphere can accomplish in terms of developer interaction. I'm afraid, most of the other forums have become scorched earth and this doesn't really surprise me.

Some of them do visit the forums, like David Gaider, the lead writer for DA and some of the other DA devs. Some of the ME MP people do too. Its just the ones you want to visit don't. Even if they did there's no guarantee they'd say what you want to hear or do what you want them to. I'm sure some of them have people who scour the forums for them. I'd also mention Priestly but I don't know what other things he does on his end other than try and keep this place in order and pass on information to us.

I love this guy, I could not have said it in a better way.

My first reaction: wtf is wrong with you people, do you really have to whine about every little thing? Go out, drink, use drugs (except smoking white stuff and using needles) and get laid.

Seriously, some people need to get a life, 6 months absence and the BSN is still all negative, you wont get me angry but I'm sure getting agitated of all the negative posts out here.

Give BioWare a break, they supplied us with the best games ever made and you damn well know it.
