This theory of yours. The star dog. Shepard becomes The Shepherd. Is the Star Dog from Germany?
If she is she must be my late GSD. 
She is not happy with the reapers. She hates the starbrat. She is only happy when the reapers are gone. Canis Major is obviously female and then there is also Canis Minor which is obviously her pup. I can see the Sirius Relay being a gateway to a whole new adventure.

Unlike Star Dog, Varren have round eyes. They also don't have ears like in Star Dog face 1 and no nose like that.
Totally not a Varren, sorry.
