No one makes you cheat except for you. Going back to the bank analogy, let's say that the security is top notch. It's possible to get in by bombing the ish out of the place. Someone does exactly that. Should the response be, "Well, the bank isn't bomb-proof, so it's the bank's fault that I blew it up!"Legion.N7 wrote...

"Lol I got banned...." is exactly what you deserve freeloader. But its developers' duty to keep their files safe. As long as the games are moddable in any way, even if its to cheat, people will do it.
I don't know if you are old enough, but if you have a car and you are a gear head, you know what I am talking about. If you don't like the bank reference, you can think of it like buying a new car and not seeing whats under the hood you know. Ofc somebody will open the game files and mess with them if they are not protected in any way![]()
Maybe we are guilty to do it but its not just our fault. Devs should not leave their so precious items data files to players' good will not to touch them. Because this is not going to happen, ever. If I was making a game involving gathering items using real money I would make some custom file format which cannot be accessed with simple editor such as notepad or cheatengine. If you have left something important vulnerable to anybody with a bit of knowledge then you are the one to blame too, not just the guy who touched your "stuff"
Everything in life is vulnerable no matter how much security is in place. By your logic, anyone who gets robbed, beaten or killed is actually responsible for their victimhood. WTF? No, the blame lies squarely upon the person commiting the crime. Glad you got banned.
