Other forums aren't joking when they talk about the hostility here at BSN - for a cooperative multiplayer game, too.

Why do I bother so much ?

For the same reason other people bother when PUs don't equip mods in Gold/Platinum.

It's disrespecting fair/serious players, and it's extremely irritating.

One of my old friends who reported cheaters now cheats and acts like an hypocritical bastard who has the nerve to give lessons to people of how to play the game. I admit I already reported him THREE times, no regrets, I'd do it a fourth time around if only reporting cheaters actually worked.

I don't care whether it's a Player VS Player or a Coop type of game, cheating is cheating no matter what.

If it's a cooperative game ( I think you can just say "cooperative", by the way- I can't think of any cooperative single player games, by memory, so saying "cooperative multiplayer" is kind of redundant ), why would somebody who intends to abuse a missile glitch to strip away a game's challenge enter a public room and use the glitch without asking his fellow players if it's okay?

If he's going to use it to farm credits, then he should go farm credits alone, or go find other credit-farmers. Then, once he's unlocked all of his ill-earned weapons and upgrades, he can come play in public without cheating. The game's been out long enough that people don't give a crap about playing with somebody who has a maxed-out manifest, because that's something that was actually built into the game. But to strip the challenge of the game away from fellow players who don't want the challenge of the game stripped away, wasting their time, is the opposite of cooperation. He didn't cooperate with anybody. He imposed himself on them.

Oh, well, that we can agree on - I actually said much earlier in this thread, months ago, that if the glitch is here to say (and it appears to be so), then glitchers should just lobby up in private lobbies and do their business.

I was referring to people who join glitcher lobbies, see the glitchers' loadouts, and don't back out right then and there.

Then how many more when that doesn't stop all the glitchers?

.. But if they're in a private lobby, people wouldn't be able to join?
I place the blame solely on the glitcher's shoulders, where it belongs.

Allow me to reiterate: I mean public lobbies that have a leader who is clearly fine with having 2 Destroyers on his team with their Striker or Anti-Synthetic equipped. If you see that and stay, you've no right to report anyone.

Oh no, I disagree. You'd have every right. They should have been in a private lobby.

Even if, for some reason, you think it's okay for them to glitch in a public lobby as long as "most of the people in the room are cool with it" ( as if being cool with it makes it okay? )-- what kind of idiot breaks rules out in the open? That's asking to be reported. You know what they say, "it's only against the rules if you get caught".

It won't. You can never stop cheating, only merely reduce it.

You know how some people are able to pick up the backpack and drop it over and over really fast and run it across the map, when it's supposed to be walked? Is that considered cheating? :)

First I've heard of it. You should post a thread about this.

People do this? How is this possible? That sounds like cheating.... I bet its a hack or something. You should report them.

It seems to me, that if your view is angled to just the right spot, where the package pick up circle will appear, you can spam picking it up and dropping it... how that makes you run, I'm not certain. I haven't duplicated it successfully yet. On the ME3MP gear scale, I would say the practice is "Uncommon". I've probably seen it done by about a dozen teammates in 60 hours played.

Personally, I prefer to walk it in, and appreciate the art of knowing when to drop it, run and resume, but if it's not considered a cheating offense by Bioware, I would like to master it, so that when I get one of those players on my team who insists on running it in, I don't have to hear the complaints.

I doubt that it is a hack, because I have heard it said "Do you know how to do it? If not, let me!"

As much as I am a stickler about playing by the rules, I also feel compelled to please my teammates... what can I say? :)

The other guys bullsh*tted you.

It's called running with the pizza, and people have been doing it for ages.

Simply pick up the pizza (try on host first) and hold space to sprint, the second you hear the package get dropped, start pressing your space bar as fast as possible. That way, your character keeps sprinting and picking up / dropping the pizza.

Bioware confirmed that it was not considered cheating, merely "clever use of game mechanics".

Running with the pizza is possible thanks to bioware's coding; bioware's code allows players to pick up / interact with objects without having to look at them, bioware's coding of the action / sprint system means that some actions have temporary overrides; in this case allowing players to keep sprinting while dropping / picking up the pizza.

Old video of mine, showing running with the pizza.

The abomination with 2 million CP aka "DerZinke" has been removed from the leaderboards. So they are still banning people! Please keep reporting all that glitchers and cheaters.

I'm confused by this statement. How does one tell if others are "glitchers" merely by their loadouts? Also, how can they tell even that much if when joining a game you're often jumping into ones already in progress. (for me it seems a fifty-fifty split on when I hit a lobby or go straight into the game)
What about a Destroyer with a Striker or Adas is a sign of a glitcher? People can equpi whatever they want on their characters, no?

On another note, though, it is related I suppose: I just met a guy who was at least nice enough to ask if he could glitch, and I told him no...even though he kept arguing as to why he should be allowed he never did it the whole match...though he didn't contribute much either. I asked him why he would bother, especially since we were playing a bloody bronze mission (really, what is the point?) and it seemed like he wanted to get kicked out of a bronze game for glitching. I have no idea how that's a motivator, but I removed myself from the equation in case the team decided they didn't care as much as I did.
My question is, why WOULD anyone want to get kicked out? I haven't decided if I should report him...I mean...technically I never saw him glitch, though he did promise to do so in the following match unless I got the others to kick him out.

People are strange on Live.

I see the last ban wave was quite a long time ago so I ask are cheaters still being banned?
Played a U/U/Gold last night with at least one hacker who was using a modded GPR to 3xshot all the things(Atlas etc).

I don't allow myself to lose sleep over things so petty when there are much more serious things to be frustrated and worried over.

Egos over virtual leaderboard positions that merit no money or physical honors is cringeworthy at best.

Actually, the developers said that is a "clever use of game mechanics" like the reload cancel thing.
