If Bioware were to chose a "canon" ending, which one would it be?

That would also mean Anora stays on the throne (with or without Alistar) and the PC lives.

Anyway, looking at Mass Effect 2, I don't believe that Bioware necessarily will choose one single cannon ending.
If on the off chance that they do though, Then I want Loghain gone, Duncan alive, Alistair and Anora King and Queen, and the Grey Warden having slept with Morrigan, so that Morrigan has the soul of the Old God, while the Warden goes off to rebuild the order.

-Save Mages
-Save Eamon's family
-Broke the Curse
-Put Harrowmont on Throne (Found Bhelen to be repugnant)
-Killed Zevran (My character believes in honor, that Zev would show no loyalty whatsoever to his employers, proves he can't be trusted and I needed to be rid of him)
-Left the Slavers Fates to the Elves
-Spared Loghain (He felt what he was doing was best for Fereldan, and I also promised Anora to try and save him)
-Put Anora on the throne (She really is the best Choice, Anora wants to Rule, and has the Skills, knowledge and Ability to be a great Ruler)
-Romanced Lelianna (The accent, the Red Hair)
-Did the Dark Ritual (So he could be with Lelianna)
-Stayed with the Wardens.

or they could just make a DA2 with multiple storylines in corelation to our ending of DA1. that would be cool
Most people would prefer this, but it's likely not feasible. The game would simply be too large and expensive to produce, I think. One storyline that has small differences, maybe one or two quests with major differences, and some different cutscenes depending on our choices, though.... That's doable.

I think the OP asking IF this was ever put forth into book form where they HAD TO do a cannon setting (which I truely doubt they ever do).
If thats happened, then
Male-goodie-human noble-saves mages-cures the arl-saves conner-harrowmont as dwarf king-destroys the Anvil-cures werewolves-kills slavers in alienage-dark ritual-Allistar as king would definately be the cannon story from where I sit. Its the most "heroic" in a standard fantasy setting.
PS: LOL Series, I kill Zevran on principle now as well. Kept him alive for 2 play throughs (he turned on me in first one) to see his story play out. Now the little pillow biter dies everytime from the start! No 2nd chances, NO alternative tolerance. Tries to kill me, is a assassin, has the gaul to hit on me when I hold his life in my hands, hes dead. D-E-A-D dead!
And the world was a better place!

I disagree with the child being a big part of any sequals. I believe they will save that story line for when/if the game starts to lose some ground in the gaming circles

So, I think any expansions will be set shortly after the original campaign and just port over the data.
But I think DAO2 (which won't be set in the Dragon Age which is only a century long, and thus will be called Griffon Age: Origins or whatever) will be set in an entirely different time and place - but still on Thedas. Maybe it'll be about the first grey wardens, thousands of years ago. Maybe it will be set in the far north, where Duncan's mother's people are (sorry I can't remember their name atm) 200 years in the future.
But not, I think, in a time frame or place where our choices will even be relevant - except as a footnote in a history book type codex if it's in the future. (The History of the Fifth Blight: Was it Really a Blight?; followed by a generalised statement of how there was a local revolt, very short-lived, the local grey wardens supposedly saved the day led by a great hero, but that all details have been lost in the mists of time. Scholars argue over what really happened. Even the name and gender of the Hero of Fereldan has been lost. Etc)

Whatever is canon, I hope the dark ritual isn't. The less of Morrigan and her stupid offspring we see in the future, the better.
lol Morrigan rocks!

I always play an evil character, but I still wanted to wring her neck at the end of DA. SImply put, she's just a *****. All the "Tis" and "Tisn't"s didn't help either.
I handed her into the templars when I got the chance, and she still managed to escape to offer her stupid ritual.

I'm afraid you will be sorely disappointed...
But the way, I don't see why the "I play evil but i hate her anyway" argument would have any ground. Morrigan is NOT evil. She obviously has an unknown task to perform, given to her by flemeth, and tries to stick to it by keeping her emotions at bay as long as possible, failing at it quite a few times by the way.
Maybe the fact that you deprieved yourself of the possibility to explore her character more because you're "ooooh sooo evillll", made you miss quite a lot of her personality.

Urn of Sacred Ashes:High Dragon killed and Genitivi as well.

Orzammar: Bhelen as king and the anvil preserved or restored by smiths ( eventually )
Dalish: Curse ended and land given near Ostagar.
Circle of Magi: Tower saved.

But I dont want everyone to be sad. I just dont want Morrigan and her retarded child to be the villains in the next game. I want a cool villain is all.

You have absolutely no idea about what will happen actually. Morrigan (if you take the chance to actually talk to her) clearly explain that she is not looking for the soul of an archdemon, but for the original soul of the old god, untainted by the darkspawn.
It's equally probable that the "retarded" (lol, it's always funny how this word is used) child will be the main character of one of the next dragon age games. Not the villain.

The only way I can honestly think of the dark ritual giving a good ending, is if Morrigan dies in childbirth.

Thats also bad. It still means Morrigan plays an important part.

Unfortunately for you, I doubt your opinion on the matter will sway the devs. Morrigan is quite obviously a pivotal character, and everything in the ending of the game clearly shows that there's much more to be seen of her in the future.
