I've gotten this one a lot. Based on who gets it and who doesn't, I'm pretty sure it's triggered from cunning being above a certain amount.Thor Rand Al wrote...
Not sure if it's hidden n considering how many times I've played this game n never seen it before I suspect it is cause you have to have very high cunning (mines at 46) anyways when your asking Alistair about Arl Eamon raising him you can get this:
PC: So you said this Arl Eamon raised you?
Alistair: Did I say that? I meant that dogs raised me. Giant, slobbering dogs from the Anderfels. A whole pack of them, in fact.
PC: Really? That must have been tough for them.
Alistair: Well, they were flying dogs, you see. Surprisingly strict parents, too, and devout Andrestians, to boot.
(This is the part I've never seen before)
PC: Do you write, at least? I bet you mother's a b**ch.
Alistair: (Laughs) All right, all right! I give! I cannot match your rapier wit!
When I saw that at first I didn't pick it cause I was leary about his response so I reloaded n went ahead with it n I still got the same approval as if saying the usual stuff lol...

Sten's 'children' dialogues seem to trigger if you walk by the priests in Denerim and the children are playing nearby. He tells the Chantry sisters politely that the children are 'too small to become priests' and that they should send them back.
I've been wondering about that one. The chantry is probably about the only space in Denerim Market District I haven't trampled all over in an attempt to get that conversation option.

Oghren finds out she named the nug "Schmooples."
"'Schmooples'? You named a walking snack 'Schmooples'?"

Also if you have really high approval with Oghren a lot of his first dialogues change. He'll open up to you about Branka and Orzammar much sooner.

I left Alistair out of my party the last time I ran that part just so he could break in and rescue me. I saw that line of response to Riordan but didn't choose it...now I wish I had! LOL.
Riordan is awesome. That "And good luck...sister" line gets me every time.
I did this 1 n I had him at 100% love hoping for my knight in shining armour would show up n he did but there was nada exciting about his line, I was hoping for something exciting but (sighs) no special dialogue lol

I don't know if he says this anyway, but my last character who romanced Zevran had him come rescue her and he said "My dear Grey Warden, did you miss me?" It was perfect and heart-melting.Thor Rand Al wrote...

Oh def, he's a master infiltrator, but what would you expect from a Crow? Sten, OTOH... "Pashera, attack!" LOLSandtigress wrote...
lol I had Zev and Alistair show up, since she's in an active relationship with Alistair while poor Zev is pining after her a little bit. It was kind of funny watching them do the rescue together - and Zev is a much better bluffer than Alistair.

There is more than one solution to this puzzle, but it should look something like this (the X is the blank square that your last move should create. Do the down arrows at both ends first and then the middle

Hahaha, another great one. I want to see if Zevran comments on the City elf PC having been formerly betrothed like Alistair does. Luckily, he's right at the point of giving me the earring if I talk to him here.
PC told him she would only take the earring if it means something.
Zevran's answer: You are a very frustrating woman to deal with, do you know that? We pick up every other bit of treasure we come across, but not this. You don't want the earring? You don't get the earring. Very simple.
I just loved the bit about picking up treasure - hey, its true!
He does comment if you're romancing him as does Leliana if you're romancing her. And refusing the earring is a very common thing to do -- for good reason!
A Random inquiry here. I know several of the Companions give you 'gifts' if you're Romancing them. Morrigan gives you a Ring, Zevran the Earring, but what Leilianna? I Romanced her on my second playthrough and I do not recall ever recieving a Gift. Did I miss something?

As far as I know Leliana doesn't give you anything. Alistair gives you a rose he picked in Lothering (Leliana's Maker's Rose, amusingly enough), Zevran gives you an earing, Morrigan gives you her ring (the only usable item of all 3). Leliana gives you... nothing.
But she watches you sleep. Watching...waiting...

"Watching...waiting..." (Laughs) Well done, Madam. Well done. All humor aside though, thank you for the prompt response. Though I did *not* purchase the Guide nor use any of the game sites with walkthrough I felt as if I had truly experienced everything...at least for the "White Knight" style of Warden I played. I disliked the idea of having missed something Romanticaly important, especially with the Female Companion I was in fact Romancing. Oh, and IMO, I found the "Watching you sleep," and "Pretty Eyelashes," part really quite endearing. Maybe it's just me.

Yes, I know, but it is a kind of a gift. Anyways, sorry if it was unrelated.

If you go to first meet Bann Teagan in Redcliff without Alister, and you introduce yourself as a Gray Warden, almost the first thing he says is roughly - "You are a Gray Warden? Do you know a warden called Alistair? Do you know if he's alive?"
And if you say that yes, Al's still around and kicking, Teagan is genuinely happy to hear that.
Aww, he cares!
And what's even better, when I returned to him later that day, this time with Al in tow, Teagan immediately goes, "hey, do I know this guy? Alistair, that you? Welcome!" and they have a conversation, brief, but longer than what you get if you have Al with you from the start.
