Yeah I don't want a modern day AC game. We get enough modern day games.

I still think they should head to places games hardly touch.

An AC game in India at any point would be freaking awesome.

They're making that already. It's called Watch Dogs.

@Prince - Gee, thanks. It was mq-related.

Oops, that was out of context.

But anyway, I got the rope dart, so yay! Now to get a better man o' war...and kill some more stuff. I'm all out of bones.

My fleet is nearly all man o' wars, I even have a few 80 cargo ones as well.  I'm only on sequence 8 and have a couple forts to capture yet.  At least I know about this rope dart thing ahead of time.Image IPB

A-sailing down all on the coasts of High Barbaree. O are ye a pirate or man o'war? cried we. Blow high! Blow low! and so sailed we.

I do have four man o' wars, and plan to get more for my fleet. I'll have to, to finish up the trade routes. We got distracted by The Walking/Talking Dead, hehe.

Wow, the story in this game! The last couple of sequences, I kept thinking 'holy crap!' I'm not sure I can take whatever happens next. But I can't complain too much, I did get a new...oh, it's so hard not to spoil stuff!

Regarding forts, I was surprised to find that the one in the bottom left only had 4 towers. It was kinda easy, tbh. Easier than the ones that are right across the water from each other. I took those out during a hellacious storm, complete with rogue waves. I was surprised we made it through all that.

Same, haha.

I had captured all forts around the area except for the bottom three (the ones marked 'hard') and the one down the left was the one I set for first. I'm disappointed to hear the other two are harder.

I'm 91% done with the game.

By the way, what does everyone think of Watch_Dogs and Assassin's Creed sharing the same universe? Personally, I love it and I hope that there'll be a crossover later on.

They're only marginally more difficult. If you've taken out the other ones, you'll have no trouble with those. ;)

And I'm a ditz. I just checked in on my fleet, and I have seven man o' wars, not four. I've been busy attacking pretty much everything to raise my wanted level, so I can try to get some bigger competition, well, and more metal. I only have one ship upgrade left; I wonder if I should try to attack a legendary ship, for giggles? Hmm.

I woke up this morning with that shanty in my head ! I think I played the game far to late last night!

@Happy, I say go for the Legendary ship, seeing as you're nearly upgraded.

I like it that other games reference each other, although I haven't come across any Watch Dogs Easter eggs yet. I know there were AC references in Far Cry 3.  I do like the look of Watch Dogs.

I tried the Legendary ships while fully upgraded and boy I can tell you - its tough! It is doable ofcourse, but you really need to know their tactics and don't even bother if your Jackdaw isn't fully upgraded.

^ I hear that. When I came within range of the first Legendary ship (without even knowing they existed), I made the misstep of getting into its sights. I don't think I'd upgraded anything on the Jackdaw yet, and they started attacking. I turned tail and tried to get the heck out of there, but they made it pretty tough.

On a total sidenote, I got the Mayan armor last night. Image IPB

Congrats!

I'm close to getting the Mayan armour. I think. Animus tracker shows me that I'm missing one in a place that's not on the map, lol. I assume it's a location to be visited later, Long Bay or something.

So, I'm trying to complete as much as I can before advancing the main plot. Found every uncharted chest and animus piece and visited location I could. I think I've done all possible assassin quests but I've still got a handful of naval quests to do. I think I'll leave them to postgame.

Thanks! I'm not sure whether I prefer the Mayan armor over the Templar armor, but it felt great to finally get that last piece!

Yep, Long Bay is mq-related. You'll have a bit of a mind melt when you find out what it involves. That's all I'll say about it. :)

Wow, you've been busy! I still need to collect all the animus pieces and uncharted chests. Each time I think I'll focus on getting those taken care of, I get distracted by boarding ships.

I have one straggler assassin contract that's been driving me crazy. I can't remember where I'm supposed to go, and the red skull no longer appears on my map. So I get to deal with a status update on my screen for a contract I can't seem to locate. Oops. I'm thinking it might be in a smuggler's cove. I had one other that I recently accepted that was, but I didn't find the guy in there. I think I'm going to have to backtrack and see if there was another area under water that I missed.

Once you get far enough into the story, and in upgrading the Jackdaw, it's surprising how easy the naval contracts seem. I've had two where they were resource gathering contracts, and I was able to immediately turn them in as completed. But alas, I think I still have a little less than half to do.

So you're able to keep playing post-game? Good to know!

I think I may have got you a bit too excited, lol.

It's set in The Carribean. The Mayan involvement is limited mainly to ruins and the like. The game takes place a few decades after they were subdued by the Spanish.

I'm very intrigued by pre-Columbian civilizations and while this isn't quite it, I'm curious about how they incorporated elements of Mayan culture into the game.

OK, so I have a female Assassin standing in my house, outside the bedroom. I see that I can "Interact" with her, so I try it, and she runs away. What's up with that?

One of the other ladies decided to lay on Edward's bed, roll around, and make strange mewing noises. Image IPB
