Hooray, I completed the last of the naval contracts, and was able to get the last upgrade for the Jackdaw! To celebrate, I took out two higher-level man o' wars, so I can finish up the Kenway's Fleet missions.

Everything is falling into place nicely. :wizard:

OK, so I have a female Assassin standing in my house, outside the bedroom. I see that I can "Interact" with her, so I try it, and she runs away. What's up with that?

One of the other ladies decided to lay on Edward's bed, roll around, and make strange mewing noises. Image IPB

Was that a bug, or do you think that's just the effect Edward Kenway has on the ladies? I say the last one! And congrats on everyone's achievements.  I am sooo behind!

Do you get the Mayan armour by getting all those pieces?

Yep, Long Bay is mq-related. You'll have a bit of a mind melt when you find out what it involves. That's all I'll say about it. :)

You weren't kidding!

I was expecting the character being what he was due to reading the letters but following that sequence, everything was just running at 150 miiles per hour. Barely time to process one thing before another came.

^ That's how it felt for me, too. That whole sequence was a whirlwind of emotion and realization. I've been deeply moved by the story in AC4 in general. Bravo, Ubisoft!

I'm just now starting sequence 12.

I tried that again with the female Assassin, and she ran off again. I have no idea what the point of that is. lol

The last piece of the Mayan armor is in a mq-related location, so if you've been waiting for it, you'll have to keep going further to get it. I liked it, but I ended up going back to the Templar armor anyway.

I stuck with the Mayan outfit in the end. Figured that it was the next step for Edward and the unlocking of the outfit represented a nice symmetry to when he first found out about it.

Just finished the game. You really don't realise the scope of it until you sit through the credits, lol.

I have over 70 hours in, and am just now getting to sequence 12. But then...I've been rather hooked on sailing and boarding other ships.

I think you could do the mq stuff in about 30 hours? Maybe someone that isn't doing a completionist run has a better answer?

Don't worry, I'm right there with you.  At 75% still and I really want the whale hunter outfit,  third white while just will not show up for me.  I think I'm on sequence 8 still, actually.  Not sure, having more fun exploring coves and diving spots.

Yarghhh!!!

Those white whales like to hang out near royal naval convoys. You should look for those. Image IPB

I have two assassin contracts that are driving me nuts, now. One is in some phantom location that I can't seem to find (it hasn't shown up on the map in ages), and the other is in a shipwreck that you go through to get to land. No matter what I do, I can't find the guy in there. I might just forget about it.

Oh, and I took on a few higher-level man o'wars last night. I was sad that one of them was a level 60, but I had to destroy it for a naval contract. But then I found a level 49, and a 53, so I got a couple of higher-capacity ones for Kenway's fleet. Huzzah!

Ah, thanks for the tip.

Wish I knew how to help with the assassin contracts, haven't encountered that yet.  One thing I am OCD about on those contracts is getting the stealth bonus, I reset the game every time if I don't get it.  Same with no alrams sounded on warehouse raids.

My fleet has a few 49's.  I was wondering if you get to actually add the legendary ships to your fleet when you beat them.  I got owned with my not fully upgraded ship.  Reminded me of the first time I ran into ultimate weapon in FF.Image IPB

Smooth sailin to ye.  I'll keep yer ships movin along if I be seein em on the high seas!

So I unlocked the Templar armor and its...okay I suppose. Its not as bad as the monstrosity unlocked in AC Brotherhood, but the neck scarf thing needs to go.

I'm still working on the Mayan set and haven't looked it up as to not spoil it.

Hey, I LOVED Brutus' armor. I still don't know why people disliked it so much, guess I was in the minority. *shrugs*

My favorite, looks-wise, is the governor's outfit, but the perks for the Templar and Mayan armor won me over (resistance to enemy attacks and deflection of enemy projectiles, respectively). But the no hood thing is a little weird in cutscenes.

If I'm feeling fancy, I put on Ezio's outfit. ;)

Ooh! I just got the officer's outfit from completing a fleet mission. It's snazzy and red!

The game gave me Altair's outfit when the only other AC game I've played on the PS3 was AC3, lol.

^ Congrats on finishing! I don't want the game to end.

I don't have the templar outfit yet (need one more key). My favourite so far is also the Governers outfit and the pirate captain outfit because it has more red in it, but liking the sound of the officer's one.

I did sequence 7 last night. I got a bit frustrated with one of the missions! The good thing about that sequence is you see more Charles Vane (love Ralph Ineson's voice). I have to say the voice acting work overall in the game is great.

I have done over 40 hours so far and have only completed 52%! I love exploring too much too! I think I need to do some treasure hunting with the maps, find me some upgrades arrr!

That's one way to put it!

It was a great sequence of events although the end left me rather sad considering we know what happens afterwards. It was nice to see Ed and his family all happy and loved  the "it's a ship, not a boat" dialogue but stuff is about to go down.

The modern day segment was pretty cool although I feel like it could have done with one more cutscene. It would be pretty cool if we could customise our character come the next game though. Get a bit of RPG in here. =]

Yes, I'm with you on one more cutscene in modern day. It just felt kind of... I don't know, unfinished. But that might have been due to the fact that I was missing one computer hack and one sticky note... Waa.

I was surprised that things went right from sequence 12 into sequence 13. I was still holding the controller when the credits started, and was like, huh? It just went so fast, I didn't see it coming.

After I got done, I contemplated continuing, but wanted to give myself some time to savor and reflect on it. So I created a new character in Skyrim, and got him to Whiterun. I might be ready for some more plundering tonight, hehe.

The officer's outfit is very much red, with white accents. If you like red, that might be the one for you. I got it from a fleet mission - one that required a higher-end man o'war, iirc (that could carry 75 or 80 cargo). Speaking of those, they're much easier when you're fully upgraded. :) But in general, they're slow. You can use that to your advantage.

You must be doing lots of sailing, eh? I don't blame you, it's fun! I bought all of the art pieces, since my ship is upgraded, and I don't have much need for the cash otherwise. The shelves and walls at the house are getting pretty full. I honestly don't think I have any room left for anything (kinda like my rl house).

Completing the computer hacks and collecting the sticky notes doesn't give you anything substantial either. You just get a thank you message from some friends. ;)

I just discovered the character's journal yesterday, lol. I didn't know he/she was logging their experiences. Seems a bit risky. ;P

Yeah, really. I mean...after all that stuff went down, I felt a little weird immediately going back to hacking. I almost expected to have a "OMG, I'm going to get caught!" moment, but I was a little relieved not to.

Now if M would just leave her office. I think that's the only pc I haven't hacked (knowingly, lol). The last sticky note could be literally anywhere. I don't think I'm going to worry about it, though. I'm happy to know that it's not crucial.
