Yeah, the lack of an annoying civilian type was definitely welcome. From the beggars you couldn't throw money at in 1 to the demonic hellspawn from 3 that swarmed you and laughed.

Funny thing from ACIV. I accidentally ran into a quest giver at one of the forts causing him to fall off the bridge and into the water. He drowned but I was still able to jump in next to him and press a button to complete the mission though!

What we really need is the return of is:

"That ladder will come in handy if I fall."
"A way up if I fall."
"That will be useful if I fall."
"Good...a way up if I fall."

...though, that was really Ezio's catch phrase wasn't it. :S

I don't have the game yet but from reading this thread I've become aware that yes, the ship has the Captain's Quarters.

Yes, there is a Captain's quarters, where you can change your equipment, buy Jackdaw upgrades, and access Kenway's Fleet. That's the only place on the Jackdaw that you can enter (at least, that I've found).

Well that is kinda dissapointing. Was hoping this time around the ship would have more areas in it. Then again, probably it is easier engine-wise to have it being simply the bridge and Captain quarters.

Honestly, when you're on the Jackdaw, there are much more fun things to be doing than wandering around your own ship. You could be wandering around on someone else's ship.  (Well, until it becomes yours).

It took me all of yesterday evening to download that patch from uplay... I tried just to play 10 mins of multiplayer, but I saw that they removed simple deathmatch from the official modes :/

Yeah, sometimes when I could see a storm was coming, I'd release the wheel, so I could watch it go by. It doesn't seem to do any damage to the ship if you're not actively sailing.

Love the screenshot! I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Dood you really need to play this game with an ecksbawks controller. So much easier :S

I actually am playing with a controller, but everytime I press F12 to take a screenshot it swaps the interface over to keys instead of buttons, hence why they're in the screenies I take.
