This is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, and I'm totally biased with my partly Caribbean ancestry, but still.

Sailing through a thunder and lightning storm with the ocean and rain water pouring down the deck with the lightning strikes lighting it up really is sumthin'.

I still haven't taken out any of the Legendaries. Which ones would you say are the easiest, to start with? My Jackdaw has full hull armour, broadsides (number of them and power of them) and swivels, along with nearly max upgraded mortars, so I think I might be ready now. I tried those two Legendary Man O' Wars, and...well, didn't end well for me. :S
I'm just going through the Assassination Contracts now that I've reached the point in the main story where it feels fitting.
HMS Prince (SE) and La Dama Negra (SW).

Am I the only one who still hears Adewale even after Anne takes over as Edward's first mate?

Not me.
As for my opinion, wonderful game. Wonderful story. Beautiful graphically. Incredibly engaging gameplay. Fantastic all around.
SPOILERS
I initially found the Sage worrying, because it feels like Ubi is adding more and more lore to the game world that they can't possibly follow up on. However, most of that dissipated when I finally realized just who the Sage actually is: Juno's mate.

I really must get the Mayan armour because the templar armour sucks style wise. Don't like it all.

Mayan armour was awesome, reminded me of Raiden's armour in MGS but also kind of had a samurai vibe going. I should have just progressed the main story as fast as possible so that I could wear that set longer doing the side stuff.

Thanks. I think tonight's play is seeking those final 3 stones. I want Edward to look good for the rest of the sequences!
I have upgraded the Jackdaw's hull, but I really need to find the plans for the broadside cannons. I haven't found the treasure map for those yet.

The ship alone costs a ton to upgrade fully. I'm in Sequence 5 and I'd like to at least have the plans to upgrade my ship, but there's those bloody forts I've got to take down first before I can go diving at the bottom half of the map.
And damn those forts. Guess I need to take down more ships and get more loot. I've run into a single Man o War my entire playthrough, and I stuck it in my fleet. I wonder if I'll ever run into more.

That Man O War tag team still kicks my ass though. Can't figure out a strategy for them.
Also finished all the Assassin Contracts. Those pistol swords are cray cray.

You need A LOT of money to get things going in this game.
Which is good, because one of the biggest problems with past ACs was that you'd get massive piles of money that's only purpose seemed to be investing in things that will get you more piles of money to get things to get money with.

Stay on the outside of one of them, so the other won't bother you. Deal with one at a time. If being on the side of it is too risky, tail behind it.
If that process works, don't take it out. Shift to the other one and damage it, so both are at the tail end of their health bars. Eliminate one, then the other.
At least, thats what I'm picturing in my head. No idea if that'd work but I'm throwing words at you anyway.

One likes to get up close and hammer away with broadsides while the other sneaks around back to rear end poor Jackdaw; and at that point it's pretty much all over.
I've learned it's best to never turn the ship's back on them. Especially since they seem to ignore fire barrels. And chain shots stun them for all of two seconds.

Never get in between them, but be very aggressive. Mortar while you are closing the distance, chain shot to stun and then ram one at a slight angle, after that fire heavy shot and then try to position for another charge. Always brace when being shot at.

Thanks for that
I only need one more Mayan stone and I could not find the location on the map (knew the name though). So I had to Google to find out where it was, only to be told I need to progress further with the main story

Have to agree, I just finished the game and...my god, feels. As I said earlier in the thread, this game felt more lighthearted than the rest but at the same time pulled on some more heartstrings, I found.
SPOILERS WITH MY THOUGHTS, I HOPE COLOUR CODING STARTS WORKING FOR ME AGAIN. FUUU

I was actually pretty legitimately sad at Blackbeard's death, Vane going crazy, (and Edward later expressing his regret they didn't part as friends) watching Hornigold and Edward turn on eachother, Mary's death...and Edward's whole reaction to it...scene with Haytham at the end...that "Do you feel it? All empty inside?" scene with Anne and Edward hit much harder when I actually sort of did feel that at how everything has completely fallen apart around him. As you said, seeing them all at the end did choke me up a bit too. :S
Even Edward's development in general was a little feely in it's own right. First at that "For years I've been rushing around, taking what I fancied, not giving a tinker's curse about those I hurt. And yet here I am; with riches and reputation, and feeling no wiser than when I left. Yet when I turn around...and look at the course I've run...I see there's not a man or woman I love left standing next to me." Even his little bit with Jenny at the end:
"Will we see any pirates, you think?"
"...no, I don't think there's much chance of that."
Some might see it as lying, I saw it as a message to how far the dude's come. He was a legitimately changed man at the end of the game, more so than I think Ubisoft has done with any character in the series so far, even Ezio. I would say they should continue with him a bit...but after the ending, I don't think they really need to. It was nice that they actually gave a conclusive end to a character this time, in a way they haven't since Ezio in Revelations. Bittersweet, heartwarming...great ending all around. Props Ubisoft.

Anyway, fantastic game. Definitely one of my favourites of the year; and I may dare say better than AC2. No joke.
Looking forward to the Adewale DLC. But for now...Legendary ships. *cracks knuckles.*
(And I'm sorry if I ruined scrolling down this page for anyone who hasn't finished the game. I tried colour coding it again, but it refused to work.

The only thing I feel is lacking is the supporting characters in your crew. Unless you pick up some more later that I don't know about, there's just Adewale. Obviously there can't be dozens of fleshed out crew members, but even just one or two more named, voiced, crew members showing up in cutscenes would be nice.
