Oh and also, enough with the male protagonists already, I'm freakin tired. We already had 3 guys (in 5 games). Just give us one female assassin and not on PS vista.

Assassin's Creed V should feature a female protagonist during the Napoleonic Wars with an explorable Paris, Vienna, Königsberg and Moscow. And it should have a long period of development rather than being milked from the Assassin's Creed cash cow after only a year or so.

This could be a spoiler I guess, so ***SPOILERS***

Anywho, If you hack one of the computers in AC4 (can't quite remember which one) it describes the 'Marketplace Research' for Ezio, and it shows in his old age he's training a female assassin in Japan (again, can't quite recall where specifically, but I know it's on that side of the globe). Perhaps we'll get to play as her.

On another note, can someone clear up what happened to the 'mysterious' IT guy (voiced by Brandon Keener)? Was he the Roberts reincarnation at the end that stabs you in the neck with the purple stuff? (Yea, I know they have different voices). I wasn't paying that close attention.

Thanks

AC4 hardly looks like it had just one year of development. It feels a lot less rushed than AC3

*sigh*

Everyone who reads this thread should read this.

How well is this optimized for PC? I know Ubi shafted PC gamers in Boston.

I get some frame rate stutters even though my system is high end, but overall it's pretty decent. And I never got a single CTD.

Not majorly bad. I first had a Radeon HD 6750 and most of the time it was fine, but the boarding was terrible. All thesmoke and fires brought my FPS down to like 13. However, outside of that it was perfectly playable.

I just got an HD 7870 Ghz Ed. and it runs like a dream, dropping below 60 only in areas with lots of textures.

99% certain that yes, that was him. Further, even stronger spoilers: you remember in AC3 when Juno mentioned that her mate was the first one to try to bind to a human body?

Yeah...

Man this game has left me a little empty. Might have to do with my ****ed up graphics card and wait in order for some PC gaming, but I seriously can't bring myself to play more after than ending. It really hit that feel. 'specially when that part with them guys on that table drinking.

You know I'm actually kind of feeling the same way now. The ending...the ending was just so perfect I don't really even feel like Edward needs anymore. Now whenever I play post credits something seems off. :S

Also, Anne's ending song. WHY CAN'T I GET IT OUT OF MY HEAD. :crying:

Old ass song, that fit the ending and Edward's character arc so damn well. Gawd.

P.S Are the books any good? Btw. I'm cautious with VG books. Though I did enjoy the DA ones well enough.

Foresaken was a good read. dont be fooled by the cover art, it's 99% about Haytham from his early life w/ Edward all the way to his confrontatino with Connor at fort George.

and it has a lot of things that I think AC3 would have had a much more satisfying ending if they were included.

^ Especially with Connor's little speech there.

I might have respected the guy a lot more if that was included. As is, AC3 might as well end with Haytham coming back to life and saying "I told you so." At least that would make it so it'd end with Connor having something to say about it. :S

I loved AC 4 so much that I'm seriously considering to buy the Black Flag novel. Probably Forsaken as well since Haytham yo

Since that game starring Achilles I keep wishing for probably isn't happening, I hope they at least make a book about him. Him and Haytham were the best characters in AC3 IMO.

This is a series based upon sin. To fulfill God's will, it must be purged.

To be honest, I had waited to plug in the power sources and had gotten tired of listening to Juno talk. Or maybe it's just been a while.

Actually I kind of remember that now. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up.

SPOILERY

It took me a little bit to figure out too. But the sticky notes in Black Flag, as well as him screaming about his "beloved" before he was shot, helped clear it up.

I wonder how long it'll take for the next "incarnation." it was like 46 years back in the 1700s...also brings up the question of why didn't HE stop the solar flare--but meh. Can't really expect them to be completely coherent over several years and many dev teams.

The series cycles through Lead Writers like nobody's business. For example, I honestly doubt that Patrice would have gone the direction they did for AC3 and the like. Not that I'm saying that the direction they've taken is bad (although it leaves some to be desired) but I feel like he was steering the series in a different direction. I don't know if it would have been better but I'd be interested to find out exactly what it was.

Still, regarding John from IT (scroll below for spoilahs)

He was definitely Aita, there was no ambiguity there. Regarding Sage appearances, they make it clear in the game that there's no set rule to how often he appears. Could be a centuries where one could appear whereas there could multiple around at the same time.

How's that for sin?

I like this guy already

What I did love from AC3 is how they greyed the Templar/Assassin conflict. It's no longer a matter of "yeah, I'm the good guy" it really sophisticated and deepened the faction to a point where I feel Haytham would frown down at Abstergo.

I'm also glad that I can say there are still AAA titles that can manage awesome gameplay and brilliant writing.

P.S Did anyone watch that 'Devils of the Carribean' trailer? that was awesome!

^ Yeah, the fact that pretty much everyone thought we were playing as Assassins rather than Templars at the beginning of the game is a good show of that. :S

That was some pretty clever storytelling actually. Putting us in control of a Templar without us knowing to show us how similar they actually are.

My jaw dropped at that reveal. So well done.

Then afterwards we play hide and seek with Connor and his friends.   (´〜`*) zzz

Yeah, that was the beginning of the end, wasn't it? If it wasn't for the Naval battles, I doubt I would have ever finished that game. Although I did finish the homestead. They always get me with that stuff.

I honestly didn't mind Connor overall. He was a bit dull and wangsty but decent. The whole Washington thing felt clunky though. Dude orders the burning of Connor's village (and thus the death of his mum) and Connor is able to forgive him for that? But he isn't able to strike up an accord with his own father!?

It was just... no.

I loved the homestead though! Probably why I was disappointed with how static Eddy's home base in ACIV.

I too really enjoyed the Homestead missions. I felt Connor was much more likable overall during them...and I'd be lying if I said the last one didn't give the feely feels.

They're best completed along with the main story I find. Particularly the last one right before the end.

That would have been awful

That whole sequence felt like it was slowly building up to a crescendo though. I got a bad feeling at first and the tension built and built.

Then.

I wasn't really expecting them to be Templars, but I was confused because I saw Charles in a preview acting all...villain-ey.

So I was convinced Charlie would betray me and something horrible would happen to Haytham. :c

You know, I would actually run around the house, looking for stuff after I'd acquired a relic from Kenway's Fleet, or from purchasing it. It was interesting to see how big or small things ended up, as well as where.

In some ways, I still prefer the AC2 villa, tbh. Buying those huge pieces of art were gratifying, because you could see the empty spot being filled.

I'm more curious as to what the purple stuff in the needle was, it must've had something else to it. If he wanted to kill you he could've broke your neck or something.
