Ubi has actually been super busy.
Released Liberation HD in January, turned "Freedom's Cry" into it's own standalone "mini" game, Child of Light's in April, Stick of Truth sometime in the summer, then they've got the games they've ALREADY announced but have delayed--Watch Dogs (Watch Dogs. Watch Dogs! *salivates*), The Division, The Crew.
Unannounced games are the latest in a long line.

Sad face.

That was just depressing, lol.
Let me just say this: ACIVs ending made me cry.

After some more time playing and just venturing round and clearing things before the actual story.I'm finally starting to like the games story and some of the characters.still saying the game should have been a stand alone PIRATE game with no assassins creed influence at all
Also the ship gameplay mechanics and combat is load of fun. Especially once you get the ability to ram other ships.
Ramming ships is fun. I quite like sailing towards a ship, especially smaller ones like schooners, with them marked so I can see the distance. When I get within 150 meters I fire off a chainshot and then ram them since they have no chance to react. Imagining the look of panic, terror and confusion on the enemies faces warms my evil heart.
Another question, what's everyone's favourite sea shanty? Currently I'm torn between roll, boys, roll and the high coast of barbary.

Lowlands Away is probably my favourite. There's something eerily atmospheric about watching a bunch of British and Spanish ships butcher eachother to it.
Once you eliminate all the legendary ships(I took out each encounter in my first try, woot woot) you unlock the ability to do a stronger and faster ram attack, which is what I used all the time afterward to annihilate other ships.
So considering AC 3 was about freedom from England and to a leeser exstent the freedom of connors people, and AC 4 was about freedom from any sort of goverment and freedoms cry is about freedom from slavery. Would I be the only one thinking that AC 5 may take place during the american civil?

Damn straight. My brother has been asking me to pick this game up for him, I stopped playing AC series after the first one. The series just seemed to drag on after that, sequels being kicked out by ubisoft to pad their bottom line.
ACIV is the first one since then I've actually considered picking up, because you know...Pirates!
Edit:
Oh and the expansion of the naval combat, ship navigation and building, I really liked that in ACIII, when I borrowed my brother's game file for a bit so I could have a go. The rest of ACIII I could take or leave, it had it's moments but it didn't hold my interest like the naval sections did.

I sure hope not. They should go with one of the time periods that were hinted at in the present day sequence. Such as Feudal Japan, Ancient Egypt, etc.
Egypt is my favourite idea for a setting. Ancient, medieval, whenever. Judging by what we've heard I'd say chances of it happening are pretty good, too.
Though, I know the idea is unpopular, but I still have an itch for a modern or semi-modern AC game. Cause say what you want about AC3, but this part was pretty fecking cool.

I'm betting on the French Revolution, since it was hinted at not only in AC4's modern-day segments, but foreshadowed in AC3 as well. Which would be awesome, quite frankly. Especially if they explore all the 1790s stuff with Robespierre, the Jacobins, the Directory, the struggle between the revolutionaries and right-wing royalists, conquest of Italy, etc. Plenty of potential roles there for both Assassins and Templars, too.

Spanish Ladies.
Never mind just see the other topic.

I for one support and even expected this with AC3. Needless to say I was (and still am) incredibly disappointed.
ACIV broke me. I cried some manly tears.

I'd love a modern AC as well. Mainly for Rebecca and Shaun. But also, I kinda wanna see William kick ass.
