So ive completed the game with a rouge (dare I say a very good one) and im quite far through now with a dwarf warrior. Next i plan to be a human mage, does the battle mage spec allow you to weild any melee weapon/armour (keeping in mind strengh requirements etc) without penalty ?

I assume you're talking about the Arcane Warrior specialization ><.

It basically makes your Strength stat useless. Strength -> Magic.

So Massive Armor with a Strength requirement of 42 now has a Magic requirement of 42.

In short: yes, you can wear heavy/massive armor and wield any melee weapon.

Battle Mage sounds interesting ;-)



Some tips:

1) Shimmering Shield is over-powered so make it your favorite spell >.<

2) If you need extra armor/defense, go for Arcane Shield / Rock Armor

3) Good armor sets: Warden Commander Armor, Juggernaut Armor, Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor (Medium)

4) Recommended weapon styles: dual-wielding (offensive tank) or weapon&shield (defensive tank)

I was gonna go for a sword and shield aproach and then have spirit healer as secondary spec.



Would the blood dragon armour be any good, instead of Warden Commander Amour ?

Yup Blood Dragon Armor is also very good ;-)

I never use it because I don't like the way it looks but that's just my opinion.



If you complete the Urn of Sacred Ashes quest you can find the sword Spellweaver which is one of the best weapons in the game for an Arcane Warrior.

Cheers, just found that sword, but on my warrior charactor so its useless
