Weapon weight affects them... they are just so damn powerful... that they needed long cooldowns to balance them.

If you don't detonate Sphere... you get no cooldown. It still primes everything near it... and you detonate with swarms.

Would it not be better to skip fitness and take the peculiar +power damage last evo of vengeful ancient?

I'd just promoted adepts so only messing about at l14 so far.

I found the Ascension Stance not really worth the risk, since Adepts tend to be squishy enough as it is. It's better for if you're needing to hold a certain area, so that you can send more Dark Spheres out. Even without the Dark Sphere being spec'd much, it still wrecks groups of enemies.
I've already gotten the Challenge for it, and I've only played about 4 games with it.

I'll be honest... I didn't even look at that LOL... I saw +damage to Collector/Prothean Weapons and I was like Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB

I could probably sacrifice those 3 ranks in fitness for that... dude is already squishy and I plan on running Cyclonics with him. When I ran a Power Amp IV on him, I got slaughtered (Collectors). With the shield gear... I didn't notice any real drop off in damage output since you get so many Biotic Explosions.

Use the suppressor bro.

Ascension is bad because it doesn't scale well. You already should have loads of +power damage and near max recharge if you want to get good usage out of dark sphere.

Anyways, this guy is practically jesus. I pulled 200k in a plat game against semi-competent players. You can liquify waves of phantoms with Dark Sphere and if they throw up the shield you can dome them a couple times with the suppressor for a good time (anything less than phantoms is pretty much going to be vaporized by letting the dot tick on them a couple times before exploding). Really the only problem with the build I ran is that the suppressor is basically a harrier in pistol form in that it runs out of ammo extremely fast while dumping MASSIVE headshot DPS. Probably going to try to do a plat solo with him.

His heavy melee "assumes direct control" increasing his damage and recharge but causing him to take increased damage.

Yes sir it does... I noticed many Green enemies after the detonation that were quite spread out. That 9 meter detonation is fantastic.

Dat kick ass Dark Channel stagger.... without it, he lacks CC as the stagger from Swarms is lackluster. It can't even repel a single Abomination... it's a very short stagger, where Dark Channel's stagger is top notch.

I'm thinking of trying 6/5/6/3/6
I think Ascension bonus is too good to pass up.
So I'm gonna use seeker swarm mainly as a 30% DR and for detonator from time to time.

Yup... it's Biotic Orbs made of Green Bugs.

Also... I'm going to name him Tinkerbell, to pay homage to his Fairy-like wings when using his dodge (a top notch dodge, same at the Armiger Turians).

unfrotunately, i took another nerf hit....

@mega... i am hoping to try this kit to see if we disagree on something and debate on how to use it to its max potential. should be interesting :)

Yes. DC's stagger is best when cast on a Cerberus Engineer, causing his Turret to explode. :D

I've been thinking about a '3 in the passive' build.... his Power Damage is already very strong, and the lost damage from rank 4&5 can be made up easily with the new Pistol/SMG gear, the Gear slot and a Power Amplifier.

Some people have told me that it does... but I did not observe this happening.

Since my main offense with him is to Cast Sphere, Dark Channel a target which the Sphere is heading toward, then detonate the Sphere upon arrival... I would have seen/heard Biotic Explosions quite often, but I never did.

I don't think it does Image IPB

He seems unreasonably flimsy, more so than his shields and health would suggest (I've put four points in health and fitness passives).

That said, he is incredibly fun to play, and I think the OP has the exact right strategy for getting maximum biotic explosions in the minimum amount of time. Dark Sphere seems to get stuck on corners occasionally though, which is annoying. I think I'm going to have to practice with it a bit more to get maximum usage out of it.

He does seem quite squishy, even with Cyclonics/DR from Swarms... it's like the amount of Barriers in the build screen is wrong or something. He get's jacked up pretty quick. Thankfully he has that sick dodge... but even that's not enough sometimes.

Oh man, that sounds amazing. He may have vaulted past the Juggernaut, Sexbot and Talon (but not MC Hammer) on my play list. Will definitely give your build (except the rank 5 in passives) a shot, thanks.

if i have a different idea i'll post it here. Without seeing the animations/evolutions and getting a feel for how to play these kits, i can't theorize it quite yet... especially with the new guns...

With reckoning it was easy. we all played those same powers/kits/guns so many times you knew what you were going to do before you started... with this...not so much. im excited Image IPB

That's his boss killer power... for me anyway.

What were you doing with the Fitness? How did it benefit you? I'm not chastising you, I'm curious as to your logic behind it... other than Survivability of course.

Have you found a way to utilize Ascension Stance yet? I have yet to give it a fair shake.

You know me and my crowd control. I made points into some health and acension. I spec into fitness of recharge speed in rank 5. The rest was into fitness. You know how I like to run off and cause lots of damage.

Edit: Just played with TJlens and Zodiac. They can vouch for me.
