It's so cool how, just like OP, you don't rly seem that exited about having a family in your RPG, tis all about THEM PREGGO LIS YEAAAAAAHHHH I like this thread so much I began typing with only 1 hand if you know what I mean

I would imagine it'd be smoother to have the LI and the PC go over child-bearing in a previous dialogue, with the attitudes the player echoes there being what happens during the lovemaking. Seems more straight-forward and less gamey, with everyone getting what they want.renjility wrote...
Does this mean we get the "try for baby" option on the bed/tent/wherever we sleep like in the Sims?

Honestly, I wouldn't care all that much. Although I'm sure that somewhere in the dark recesses of my brain, there would be facepalming.Knight of Dane wrote...

It wasn't my idea and I can live fine without it, but I can never see the problem with optional suggestions.
IF a character was to be pregnant in a optional fashion, I can for the life of me not see the problem.
It was already done twice in the first Dragon Age, I can't see the problem in making it an actual in-game possibility for a PC and LI to attempt it.
Just say no if you don't want to.
That's the idea with "optional."

Dialogue options:
1. (Kiss her)
2. Let's go to bed.
3. Let's try to make a baby!

If not - there it is.
"Fertility" "Womb of Iron" "Lamaze" and "Episiotomy" (guys - you really DO NOT want this cast on you)
Cast all four at once to cause the "Twins" effect.

For what it's worth? Baldur's Gate 2 had a romance that could result in pregnancy, Aerie.
If your LI got injured in combat, the baby had a risk of miscarrying. If the baby made it to term, you got a little baby to carry around in your LI's inventory backpack.
I swear, I'm not making this up.

Well, because this topic reminds me of The Sims 2 so much, I think I want a companion to be abducted by aliens and returned probed. I want an alien baby! Shall I make a thread about it?

Okay so yeah that might not actually be the most non-cringe-inducing scene ever now that I put it into writing.
I've always been partial to Power Word: Strip from AD&D 2E, myself. It's mostly useful in that plate armour takes several minutes to take off, giving you plenty of time to stabbity stab fools who fail their saving throw.Medhia Nox wrote...

reminds me of a small quest you get with Skyrim Hearthfire, where it allows you to adopt children an build a house out in the country, once built your spouse an children can live there, at any time you can (for lack of a better word) port in to find the house under attack by bandits, once they been defeated you find a letter saying your spouse been kidnapped, so u either pay ransom or go on the rampage an kill all involved hehehe
no idea why you saying "returned probed" reminded me of that tbh

They can be kidnapped?
My homestead has been under attack by Vamps, Bandits, A Giant, A Dragon and Draugr, none of those have ever kidnapped my spouse.
Damn them for not giving me my damsel in distress quest!

LOL, I can't say I see the connection either. Oh, and in default Sims 2, only the men returned with an alien baby in their belly when they got abducted.

This further convinces me that people on the BSN are creepy weirdos who live in their parent's basement.
