Erm, I have over 30,00 songs on my media computer and I couldn't pick a top 1k. ASince everyone has been posting some awesome classics, let me post something a bit more obsucre that I always get a kick out of.

Same here. 50k songs but I could never make a solid "top 1000" songs. Iike music I do not stick to genres or time frames.

Wow, I don;t think i have ever seen the Dom Deluise version. Laughed my ass off. I'm with you addiction, I love music of all genres and times though I do find certain time/genre combinations produce practically nothing worthwhile.
I'll depart entirely from my previous selection and go with....

I believe it is a KC and the Sunshine band song, but it does prove a simple principle of physics. Afros are the haristyle of choice if you want to wear big hats and dance.
Its a take on a old classic.
