By main character, I take it you mean video game protagonist - as in a character you control in a video game.

And I'm going to disqualify any character that you create and control so much that each player has their own version, so there's no established character outside of what the player makes the character be (this eliminates so many RPGs it's not funny) ...



Which, in the end, makes this a pretty narrow category. Need a story game with a main character who develops, but not by player choices so as the character is fairly universal for all who play the game...
