I do what works.
I like dealing damage...I like getting kill streaks on platinum using 3 simple mines. I like winning. I answered my own question by proving he is playable and can deal a ton of damage.
I get plenty of use out of the Concussive Arrows. Shoot a Phantom with a heavy melee shot, ragdoll her off the map (or until she engages her stiletto-thrusters.) And she's the only enemy that offers any resistance at all against my bow, with her ninja-flips and hand of denial bubble. Everyone else is screwed.
Hunter in your face? Nope. He's gone. Dunno where to, but it ain't here.
Dragoon running you down? Stop him in his tracks. Same with Pyros.
Anything that walks on two legs may as well install springs in their boots, save me the trouble. Because I will knock them off the map given half a chance.
I can stagger an Atlas, Banshee, Prime, Brute, ANYTHING at the drop of a hat. In less than a second of wind-up time.
Or I can spread the love with a light melee, knock whole groups of mooks on their asses.
Focus on your gun, with your bow as your stagger tool (think Ballistic Blades, not Phase Disruptor) instead of trying to kill with it, and you're golden.
Oh, and BLOW UP ALL THE THINGS with Cain Mines!

You do have to spec grenades and focus more on the Trip mines. I had 17 Grenade Capacity.
I ran him with:
- Talon
- Hurricane
- Armor piercing Ammo IV
- Grenade Capacity V
- Cyclonic Modulator - IV
- Pistol Ramp Amp III

That being said, the mines are great, and the stagger from his bow is also great. The powers are meh and the actual damage from the bow is laughable. All in all, hes bad.

- He resets keybinds to default, which makes his omnibow even more useless - try strafing right (D) while holding melee (F). Can be worked around by redefing keybinds at start of every map, but it's annoying.
- As only kit that have all skills using grenade charges he would make great use of Thermal Clips, but as only kit he can't use them.

I do think that the base damage for an uncharged bow (spread) shot could use a mild buff.
