Repair Matrix can't be effectively nerfed without completely neutering it. At the end of the day this is an infiltrator with shotgun damage in its cloak and a self-steroid. The most you could ever hope to scale her back is by making the Matrix a cooldown power instead of a grenade.

I think that would have been a good idea.  A power with a long-ass cooldown.  The current duration is fine, but it seriously needs it's own, singular cooldown that's just as long as the duration, if not longer.  That way you can have stints of effective invicibility.  As she is now, she can easily maintain Matrix for the vast majority of every single wave.

Someone else also suggested that it has a chance for revival instead of it being 100% auto-revive.  I really like that idea.  But even without the revive Matrix is still a ridiculous self buff.  I just... can't comprehend why it was designed the way it is right now....

EDI-bot has movement speed + incredible damage + great dodge + major tankage + auto-revives.  She has no weaknesses.  Reliance on 'nades is not a weakness, because Thermal Clip Packs.

Nope... it will revive you over and over again if you cast it everytime you're downed.

It also lets her regen shields while cloaked... no other infiltrator can do that.

Like I said... totally broken, beyond words. She's still fun though... great for carrying bad teams.

salarian infiltrator can restore shields while cloaked

it breaks cloak.

Unless you take bonus power. But I mean, who takes that anyway. Well they probably people who do but its probably not that common.

Bioware has almost assuredly moved on to bigger and better things and I doubt they are going to be like "Hey guys! RedJohn voiced his humble opinion on the BSN! We should quit working on Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age III and dedicate more time and resources to ensuring the ME3 multiplayer is satisfactory for him a year after its release!"

Just play the game. It has a limited shelf life now so enjoy it while you can.

Red John is going to take his talents to South Beach where he will break not one, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven..... Platinum Solo speed run records on Mass Effect 4. Heck you might not know this but Red John actually merged with the Dev Kits for Mass Effect 4, and right now is soloing inside the code of it. 

What we don't know is that he is actually very humble, he is like Neo and could bend and alter all the code and nerf all the kits if he felt like people weren't challenging themselves enough.

So the purpose of this thread is just a fair warning that everyone needs to step it up or he will bat his eyelashes and balance everything out.

you also need to target an enemy with shields.  with her, just press a button.

I honestly don't give a **** about crutch characters. What I do care about is that BioWare puts out these characters that are so highly skewed to being either insanely dominant or ridiculously weak and awkward. The last several Engineers that have been released are awful. Meanwhile, the last several Infiltrators are among the best in the game. In this respect, the game is unbalanced. They still haven't figured out how to make all characters/classes powerful in their own way.

I hate TC because of the aggro dump, etc. But, I HATE the troll store even more. So, for the sake of the troll store, and all that new UR content, I say, for the good of the game, that Sexbot is not OP at all. Especially when you factor in all the cheating that the enemy does.

Never been one to agree to nerfs and "balancing" in a co-op game, but even I'm on the fence about this one. She's just too good in every area imaginable. Tanking, self-buffing, self-reviving, dps powerhouse, absurdly powerful Snap Freeze, shotty-TC. It's kind of hard to ignore the signs when you've played her for more than five or six minutes on Gold or Platinum.

After playing this character for a while last night, I totally agree with RedJohn. I hate people who cry nerf all the time, but for the AI, I wouldn't be sad to see it evened out. I love the idea of an INF with built in shotgun bonuses and snap freeze is a beasty power, but repair matrix is just too much. I'm not saying take the power away, but I think is just very logical to tweak it. If I could choose, I would just say take away resurrection from it entirely, at the very least. I think Repair Matrix should be a power that increases survivability, not one that prevents going down. I love the Turian Ghost, and wouldn't mind seeing Repair Matrix tweaked to be more like Stimpack, only instead of giving you a ton of shields instantly, it does what it does now, slowly charging your shields while giving you increased speed and DR. Perhaps a different solution would be to make it more like tech armor, where you get the buffs and DR, but at the cost of increased cooldowns. I think everything else about the character is great. An INF for shotgunners, with a great melee, and snapfreeze. In my mind though, resurrection has to go.

I like the kit and feel nothing should be done. Sure its lol easy to play with, but what infiltrator isn't? Seriously. I agree with the comment that the infiltrator class compared to other classes, think engineer, is drastically unbalanced. So I believe the constructive criticism should be directed at that and not just this one kit.

I'm sure this has been mentioned but the most that can be done to Repair Matrix is a change to the number percentages (DR, movement speed, etc). After the stim pack "adjustment", the turian ghost is still OP. After the cloak adjustment, the geth infiltrator still does crazy damage. This edibot doesn't have the long range power attacks like all the other infiltrators and is only effective close quarters. So any adjustments won't change what some feel is OP.

Still got to play with the kit right and that goes for any kit.

I gotta say though, it is kind of nice now that teammates can go off on their own and jump into a group of enemies and i dont have to worry about running across the map to revive them cuz they just instantly resurrect. Still though, I don't think any character should be immune from going down.

I say leave all the DLC characters as-is. It makes it easier for me to quit playing.

Seriously.. the flood of DLC characters... they dominate the field.

I just saw a collector player in my very last game. It was fun while it lasted.

Even if they leave all new characters alone, they probably need to redress the older characters because now they seem a bit outclassed. The devs even said as much themselves in the stream vids that this was the best batch of new characters. Well except the Talon he is too weak to be that great. He gets dropped faster than a no rank volus and his grenades are about as useful as tissue paper against a Tiger tank.

I think Repair Matrix should be changed for the good of the game and this community, i really love what you have done BioWare, you did an amazing job with this DLC and I, as a fan, am very happy to have this new DLC, new powers, weapons etc to give us more variety, and yes, you have done great.

Honestly, this does come off as a nerf topic, no matter how much you sugar coat it. you want RM changed/Nerfed "for the good of the game, and this community."
As if I'd trust anyone with that but bioware with that? I respect you, but you're still pushing for a nerf. I think many people are going to take a similar mentality unless they, too are nerf supporters.

That also does imply you don't like it as you want it changed, even saying as much as it's harmful to the community, and game. Weather it is, or not is up for debate, bluntly, IMO. I've placed my reasons back a bit.

It also implies you don't like other people using it as you seek it altered, and are not content with it, and wish to push your will upon others which is part of why people hate nerfs. People will likely think "Who is this guy to think he knows what's best for me?"

If you're looking to nerf something, expect backlash. It's inevitable. 
I think he got it right in thinking you wanted to nerf it. He was out of line in how he said it though.

If I might be so bold, your point of view is coming from an expert point of view from someone who can solo with ltos of classes, and thus is talented enough to get the most out of this class. Most of the community aren't going to be so gifted.
Don't look at it through best case scenario, perfect playing. On paper it might seem broken, but is it in practice when a person who's not a master soloist BotB candidate? It may, or may not be.
