she is ST akuma broken. she's better than having the old tac cloak with duration and damage output.

she has insane damage output. she has three of the best powers in the game, tac cloak and repair matrix being 1 and 2.

i didn't even know about the auto-revive. i thought it was like ops packs with speed increase. the fact that she can repair matrix repeatedly, then cloak to run around to get more is just wrong. it's like being able to collect and store medi-gels and ops packs during matches, with both being at the touch of ONE button.

that being said, she is going to help me earn credits until i get my warlord.

Repair Matrix would have been perfectly fine by itself

True.

Repair Matrix + Incinerate and Sabotage or whatever would have been fine.

Repair Matrix + shotgun cloak + snap freeze is not.

dude, that's kind of what I said :P

I know. ;)

Just stressing the fact that it should have been paired with two "subpar" powers since it gives you so many things. Definitely not with two of the very best powers in the game.

I agree. But I'm not humble when writing this. Yes they have made many great things. But that is not a valid argument for not criticize. And yes they talk about balance, even if they are clearly just new to it and that I can somewhat respect and they are doing there best. But then they make something like this. They make something that is so obvious broken that it just leave you speechless for a while. All there talk about they wanting balance in game feels like total BS and you want to send them mails calling them hypocrites. I thought the TGI was a bad idea but a least you could die with him.

just leave it alone. If you dont like the RM just spec out. It is better than seeing people on platinum that just bleed out.

She is just literally hilarious at this point. If these were active during the reaper war, the reapers would have lost, straight up, and then the immortal sexbots would have taken over.

Hahaha! True story...

Nerf all da things!

The original post was decent, and he made some good points, though I didn't agree with all of them. However most of these other posts sound like over dramatic nerf crying. I remember why I quit reading this board. :-/

Anyway... In my opinion the characters on this DLC were meant to be stronger then the rest. They said as much on the live feeds on Monday. Though I'm sure it'll be nerfed to appease the nerfing community that seems to be the only one that gets their way sadly.

In my book defense matrix is only slightly better then the turian infiltrator's healing power, and it added extra damage along with the same basic amount of healing. The only reason I would say it's slightly better is the auto-revive effect (which brings you back with no shields by the way) which only gives you milliseconds to get out of the fire you died in. Invincible? Hardly. That's a very large exaggeration most likely branded by people that have only played the character on the lower difficulties.

After opening this thread I wanted to test the EDIbot against other super survivable kits in this game, Ghost and Krogod. She is definitely on par. I ran random golds; the krogod using Reegar X with AP Ammo 3, Cyclonic 3 with shield booster, Ghost using Harrier X with Fire Ammo 3, Stabilization 3 with Warfighter and the EDIbot using Claymore X with Fire Ammo 3, Adrenaline 3 with Shock Trooper. From what I saw both the Ghost and Krogod did better damage and I could be a bit more reckless with them. With that said it still seems like the free rez on EDIbot is unnecessary.

Maybe this is Bioware's parting gift, their way to let the unscrubbed masses of scrubs get higher credits on gold and platinum and even have a prayer of climbing the immense mountain of unlockables in this game.

The EDIbot of Liberty!

"Give me your tired your poor
Your huddled masses yearning to breath free of RNG.
The wretched scrubs of your teeming shore
Send these the homeless Tempest tost to me
I lift my repair matrix beside the golden door.
Go, and be scrubs no more." *

* slightly edited from the original

On topic - please no changes before I even GET the kit!  Also, please do consider that many will look at the kit as a much more palatable way to get more credits quickly than Rio box of shame or *gasp* missile glitching.  Would you rather be stuck in endless Rio Plat matches or have actual viable Plat games with a much larger community of players, even if they are using a crutch character?

I haven't used it, but I can ake your word for it, RedJohn. The question that needs to be asked is: Are we going to be seeing entire lobbies filled with EDI-bots because of this, only? I don't think so.

I say we keep it the way it is.

I unlocked her in my gift pack which was fortunate as it was the kit I most wanted. She is OP. I ran no fitness on her and had a blast pugging gold last night charging into mobs, going toe to toe with an atlas with no cover etc. OP or not I had a lot of fun which is reason enough to keep playing her. She may get boring fast but I say let people enjoy the kits as they were designed for a while.

before they start "nerfing" thing due to the complainers on bioware that scream "overpowered" at every innovation they need to fix the bugs. i dont like when my ops pack doesnt work properly causing me to go down and waste a gel. i dont like when i have to hit biotic charge five times and it still doesnt work causing me to waste a gel. when i spawn rush and my missile goes thru the floor or through the chest of a boss enemy... causing me to waste a gel. There are so many bugs that can contribute to you wasting gels in this game it ridiculous. I just think we need to get obvious bugs fixed before they start making characters worse because people feel as tho they are "too good" whatever that mean. If you want more of a challenge then dont use it. use a salarian engineer.

I just wish the ability was more like training wheels and less like a crutch. Removing the need for caution with unlimited "1 ups" will not make people better players.

The class generates less DPS than a lot of other classes in the game, so that is not an issue at all. I use the Repair Matrix for the extra speed and shield restoration but not for auto revives.

My first game that I played with it was on Platinum and with auto revives it was so easy that it actually became boring. My playstyle is always a bit cautious (like to get 10 waves survived) but with this class the game took that challenge away from me because there was no longer any need at all to play cautious.

My take on the class is that they should take aways auto revives completely. For the rest of the evolutions they can leave them as they are and it would be fine.

in the RPG sense,
its like giving reraise ONLY to the strongest damage dealer instead of any healer or support class.
it really doesnt make sense in any way.

Yes, I was musing over the possibility of having it on a support class. Having a full support/utility infiltrator would be quite interesting. Unfortunately (or fortunately as one might have it), however, I don't see them making sweeping changes to the kit at this stage.

Tactical Cloak is already OP.

We all knew a shotgun Tactical Cloak would be OP.

We also know that debuff + Tactical Cloak is bad.

Then, infiltrator with damage reduction ?

As fast as a drell ?

Who can regen shields ?

Who basically cannot die, ever ?

Who somehow has better melee damage than a freaking Krogan with a freaking big-ass hammer ?

She's not OP. She's not broken. She's an abomination.

I wonder what the hell Bioware was thinking on that one.

How much have been play PUG lately ?

In the general populations of PUG from time to time how BSN bemoaning about them not using any medigel or dishing out damage.

This time Bioware did listen, hence the AIU

Go to PUG land for some week instead of playing of friends, your opinion will change.
Everything that was bad with PUG which BSN so lovely moaning day in and out was fixed  by the introduction of AIU.

My very first game after downloading the dlc and opening my psps was a gold pug with the EDI and Venom shotgun. I had no idea what the Venom shotgun is and unfortunately host was superlaggy and everyone was dying(suicidal krogan warlords, a popular trend I noticed in further games). After soloing a couple waves I just ragequit since I couldn't hit anything with that damn weapon.

I really don't care if BW decides to nerf her because of all the whiners here, the only thing I don't want them to touch is her melee, it's just too glorious; half the time I forget to use repair matrix anyway and pop ops packs instead..
